For what? What is the obsession with corporate tax rates? Most of you don't have anything to do with corporate tax rates... you just parrot the same Fox News talking points about "free market capitalism" (which is really corporate welfare + redistribution of wealth upward).
It's not just corporate tax rates, it's all taxes, income, property, sales taxes etc
All play a part in making NY hostile to both business and residents.

The property taxes where I live now are half of a comparable house in New York.

You think that doesn't make a huge difference in people's cost of living?

I would love to come back to NY but I just can't afford to live there.

It seems unless you're rich or a collage student or a welfare recipient , New York doesn't want you.

DUH. Its cannibalization, luring employers from other states. Nationally, that does nothing to create jobs.

We'll be leaving as soon as my husband retires to a more senior friendly state. Not sure where you're from but the majority of available jobs, which are few despite your views , are part-time and minimum wage or slightly above.

It's so funny that people actually condone the taking of peoples money to give to the government. People are amazingly stupid.

Don't conflate Metro area with municipal boundaries.

Buffalo has been steadily gaining millenials in the last 10 years.

Overall net migration is positive, due to immigrants replacing those moving away.

New York also has higher wages than most states. Western New York in particular is more than affordable (Buffalo and Rochester Metros are lower than the national average).

That is replaced by vehicle and personal property taxes, obscene sales taxes (levied on clothes / groceries), HOA fees, miscellaneous fees, hurricane insurance (for all the southerners), and poor schools.

New York has a job for everyone. Agriculture, finance, technology, labor (we still have unions!!!), you name it.

Wait, we don't frack. So don't come here if energy is your thing.

Again, you must not have lived here too long. New York has quite a vibrant Middle Class outside of NYC Metro.

Tax breaks do not create jobs.

People who risk their wealth, to provide some product or service and need help doing so create jobs.

Tax policy, however, has a large influence on WHERE those jobs are created.

Highest Gas tax in America
Highest Property tax in America
Most restrictive gun law in America

No wonder they are lost 400,000 High Income Earners over the last 3 years.
