This is incorrect. The overall trend is increasing and this is a line of propaganda that you've fallen for. We had one really hot year 15 years ago, and if you scrub that outlier, it's been getting hotter and hotter year over year, and we're approaching the point were every year is almost as hot as that one really hot outlier.

In fact, NOOA has said if we just look at North America, we have actually witnessed a cooling trend, which completely contradicts those worthless computer climate models which predicted the exact opposite.

British Columbia already has cap and trade and not only have they reduced hugs by a third but their economy is growing faster now than in decades and electricity rates are normal. The same thing would happen here. Sorry but in real life the nonsense spewed by the deniers just doesn't happen.
British Columbia is not like most places because the vast majority of their electricity comes from hydroelectric. Not every city, state, or country is blessed with so much opprotunuity for hydro.

NOAA and NASA have said that the world has warmed, but not as quickly as it was warming.

Weather models are also imprecise, but the public has learned to take their warnings about hurricane to heart. You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but we are changing the generation mix in this country to resources with low carbon footprints. The decision has really already been made. You need to learn to deal with it.

it is revealed that she worked for a right wing think tank called 'The Institute of Public Affairs', which is basically the Australian version of the Heartland Institute... with similar political views on tobacco, AGW, etc... and of course, funded by tobacco, oil, etc... basically, it's a PR machine for right wingers, and she was heading it up for years.
Unsurprisingly, they support deregulation of the environment, and are part of the libertarian dogma that thinks everyone would be happier if we just handed over the entire government to the worst of the worst corporations-- big tobacco, big oil, sweat shops, etc. They essentially represent whoever can't find representation in the mainstream, usually because of the moral and ethical issues involved with promoting something that is obviously unhealthy/destructive.
The reason some of you heard that it was all over for AGW is because the right wing media latches onto tiny, insignificant claims like this (even if they're made by a single person whose politics are openly, obviously stronger than their dedication to science) and blows them up until finally it's a scandal and the end of the whole show. This is because they know that most people don't pay attention to words like 'accuse' and the fact that this is only one person's opinion doesn't register.
