That so called propaganda that it has not warmed at all this century is also coming from NASA and NOOA.

In fact, NOOA has said if we just look at North America, we have actually witnessed a cooling trend, which completely contradicts those worthless computer climate models which predicted the exact opposite.

British Columbia is not like most places because the vast majority of their electricity comes from hydroelectric. Not every city, state, or country is blessed with so much opprotunuity for hydro.

BTW, cap and trade is an investment banker's and fincial scam. The greedy Wall Street bankers would love, love, love to institute cap & trade in the USA.

That is what is so bizzare about the global warming scammers, they are in favor of laws and regulations which will punish the middle class and the poor, and in bed with the greedy mega corporations and bankers, and can't even see it.

NOAA and NASA have said that the world has warmed, but not as quickly as it was warming.

Also North America is not the world. Sorry but you're wrong.

They absolutely have not.

You do not comprehend what "proof" is, AT ALL. There is simply NO proof offered WHATSOEVER. [/quote]

You claiming people advocating theories is "proof" is not just wrong, but absurd.

Hurricane's?

The lack of?

After all the dire earth shattering predictions and the last 4 years they have gotten it consistently wrong.

And what the idiot in the WH has started by EO, his successor can undo by EO.

Totally false. I can prove that water freezes at 32 degrees at sea level.

No, do not quote propaganda to me.

Quote:
The overwhelming evidence of human-caused climate change documents both current impacts with significant costs and extraordinary future risks to society and natural systems. The scientific community has convened conferences, published reports, spoken out at forums and proclaimed, through statements by virtually every national scientific academy and relevant major scientific organization — including the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) — that climate change puts the well-being of people of all nations at risk.

This is neither science, nor proof of any kind. It's an attempt at a VERY DISHONEST FALLACY... The fallacy of appeal to authority

Argument from authority - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Please do not attempt to use this with me. You're wasting your time, since these people are NOT authorities.

Quote:
Surveys show that many Americans think climate change is still a topic of significant scientific disagreement. Thus, it is important and increasingly urgent for the public to know there is now a high degree of agreement among climate scientists that human-caused climate change is real. Moreover, while the public is becoming aware that climate change is increasing the likelihood of certain local disasters, many people do not yet understand that there is a small, but real chance of abrupt, unpredictable and potentially irreversible changes with highly damaging impacts on people in the United States and around the world.

The bold... is absolutely false.

Quote:
Climate scientists agree: climate change is happening here and now. Based on well-established evidence, about 97% of climate scientists have concluded that human-caused climate change is happening. This agreement is documented not just by a single study, but by a converging stream of evidence over the past two decades from surveys of scientists, content analyses of peer-reviewed studies, and public statements issued by virtually every membership organization of experts in this field. Average global temperature has increased by about 1.4˚ F over the last 100 years. Sea level is rising, and some types of extreme events – such as heat waves and heavy precipitation events – are happening more frequently. Recent scientific findings indicate that climate change is likely responsible for the increase in the intensity of many of these events in recent years.
Again, false. This is not proof, this is simply propaganda - one sided argument for an idea.

Wrong.

It hasn't warmed in over 15 years and nothing has been hotter than the summer of 1932.

About | Jennifer Marohasy

She receives funding from the 'B Macfie Family Foundation', which is so secret that I couldn't even find out what it is... but on this wikipedia article:

Jennifer Marohasy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

it is revealed that she worked for a right wing think tank called 'The Institute of Public Affairs', which is basically the Australian version of the Heartland Institute... with similar political views on tobacco, AGW, etc... and of course, funded by tobacco, oil, etc... basically, it's a PR machine for right wingers, and she was heading it up for years.

Unsurprisingly, they support deregulation of the environment, and are part of the libertarian dogma that thinks everyone would be happier if we just handed over the entire government to the worst of the worst corporations-- big tobacco, big oil, sweat shops, etc. They essentially represent whoever can't find representation in the mainstream, usually because of the moral and ethical issues involved with promoting something that is obviously unhealthy/destructive.

The reason some of you heard that it was all over for AGW is because the right wing media latches onto tiny, insignificant claims like this (even if they're made by a single person whose politics are openly, obviously stronger than their dedication to science) and blows them up until finally it's a scandal and the end of the whole show. This is because they know that most people don't pay attention to words like 'accuse' and the fact that this is only one person's opinion doesn't register.

If it supports the denialist POV, then denialists will take it as fact... because they don't actually care about knowing the truth, they only care about mocking anyone who doesn't agree.

The article mentions 'accused' in the title because it's the bare minimum they can do to avoid being accused of lying/libel... and they know that it doesn't matter if it's there because idiots like the denialists on this board won't read it anyways, and as it gets passed on over and over, the story will become what it has become in this thread.

Congrats on being the perfect idiots for the job, right wingers of city-data.
Notice the somewhat less than clever attempt at diversion.
