It is the CEO of any corporation to offer as great a return to the corporation's stockholders as he possibly can - nothing more. You are pie-in-the-sky with your dream that any CEO has an obligation to pay employees any more than he has to pay them.

If you really ever owned a real business, which I doubt greatly, it surely would have folded in a very shot period of time.

Who is cutting wages ?

I read about layoffs and reduced hours.
US profits and revenue are DOWN with most companies especially the ones that cater to the poor.

Take a look at annual reports.
US sales are stagnant or declining compared to other emerging nations who are seeing double digit growth.
Must be why 21 companies have announced they are moving their headquarters out of the USA?

That's is because the USG wants tax on their global income. The US is not satisfied with just taxing US income..they want it all.

They also want it from individuals. The US Embassy in Toronto is booked solid until January 2015 with US citizens applying to renounce their citizenship.

Yup..it has to be Bush's fault because Obama and his administration are blameless.

Sometimes our definition of "poor" might require a bit of revision.
You can go to good will and find an x box or PS3 for 30 bucks, a big screen TV on black friday can be as cheap as 100 dollars if you know where to shop and to get in line early.

maybe you need to re evaluate how you determine if someone is poor ????

Whose fault is that? Those taking or those who continue to give even though it's clear it's not working as described?
