They don't complain about corporate profits, they complain about corporate welfare. Also, not paying a living wage when they could well afford to.

They do complain about corporate profits. Corporate welfare is paid to keep large corporations from leaving to go to other states and countries where the states and countries would get NO jobs and NO tax revenue from them. Baxter in chicago and Walgreens were going to leave the state for better "offers." It's not different than giving tax breaks to get a manufacturer to your city or leaving a state because of taxes. It happens all the time. I live in Chicago where these horrible corporations fill chicago with high paying corporate jobs and opportunities for those with degrees.

But they define profits as "money the government let them keep", which is equated to welfare.

And the whole state of Illinois punishes everyone for working, owning, or employing anyone, including yourself.

Lefties live to hate. They have a new hate flavor every day. Only recently they have espoused their hatred for : Walmart, Hobby Lobby, the Supreme Court, Conservatives, Republicans, Independents, God, the Church, the Christ, Burger King, Insurance Companies, Big Oil, the Wealthy, corporations, small business owners, the successful, law enforcement, Fox News, Kotch Brothers, George Bush, Ronald Reagan, Mitt Romney, Veterans and active duty military, gun owners, senior citizens, etc., etc., etc.

They are a very unhappy and disturbed group of individuals.

Big picture. They are not doing well because the economy is booming. They are doing well because the noted government welfare programs. Yes, they are happy to see the gains in stock but they know it has to end. If you give raises based upon artificial gains, it makes it very hard to rescind them when the welfare ends.

The problem is not a lack of raises but rather the governments welfare policies here overwhelmingly favoring Wall Street as opposed to main street.

P.S. The left refuses to complain about these welfare programs. Yes, that is a generalization and there are small exceptions.

If 'these welfare programs' are the subsidies given to Big Oil, Big Farm and Big Pharm...the left complains about them all the time. We've been saying for years that the real welfare queens are corporations who benefit from gov't money, low rents for gov't lands, and tax giveaways of appalling proportions. Not to mention paying their employees so little that We the People subsidize their income through food stamps, etc.

Maybe you just haven't been listening.
