So you agree with people being subsidized with tax payer money? Of course you dont. Note the sarcasm. So its a catch 22 in la la Republican land. You want people to make as little as possible but then complain when they need government assistance.

Please dont use your failed argument about skills etc..... Not everyone can be a doctor, lawyer etc.... On top of that those are high level positions. Hate to usay it but most Americans arent very smart. I bet you're noit smart enough to do my job.

Are you telling me you have not read about the McDonald's one day walkouts and talk of how they could use their profits to boost wages ?

Are you not reading news or watching TV ?

I agree about the corporate welfare thing. The living wage stuff, that's the market at play there...if you got a skills set that is in demand you can demand more. Flipping burgers or pouring coffee is a skill set that can be learned very very quickly.

No one should have to pay more than what the market dictates.

While that is nice, it isn't how things work.

Wage discussion is another issue. Do you have quotes of people who appreciate the stock market complain about profits? That's the claim the OP makes.

I agree that the US government has taken it upon themselves to subsidize everyone into a middle class lifestyle.
And they've done it so much so that it is now a disincentive to earning more.

Earn $1 more than the income limit and you lose all benefits.
That $1 could cost a family over $600 in SNAP benefits.

Would you want to earn $1 more and lose $600 in SNAP (and other benefits) ?

We have a very punishing welfare system.

LOL.."I" want people to make as little as possible ? Really ? How do I manage that ?
When it comes to DC politics I vote neither D nor R.

No, I'm not rich but I did work and earn enough during my productive years to live a comfortable retirement lifestyle. I never expected anyone to look out for me or my family except myself. You should try that mindset yourself and you too might enjoy the same golden years that I am enjoying.
