This is not new information and has been investigated by Congressional committees and I believe (although I haven't gone back and checked) reported on in the initial State Dept ARB review report.

The following is from the House Intelligence Committee report.

http://intelligence.house.gov/sites/...ateJan2014.pdf

The Annex response team acted heroically to evacuate Americans at the
Temporary Mission Facility (TMF)
.
o
The team responded to a call for help and almost certainly saved lives despite putting the Annex at increased
risk and not being a part of the TMF’s formal security plan.
o
The Annex team had necessary authority to depart for the TMF. Once prepared, officers engaged in a tactical
discussion about the threat they faced at the TMF
, and what weapons and external support to bring to TMF
.
During the discussion, there was a delay as the tactical situation was discussed, but HPSCI found
no evidence that the team was ordered or directed to stand down.
.............
10:07 p.m.
A U.S. security team departed the Annex for the TMF. The security team tried to
secure heavy weapons from militia members encountered along the route, and
faced some resistance in getting to the TMF. Even in the face of those
obstacles, the Annex security team arrived, under enemy fire, within 25 minutes of the
beginning of the initial assault. Over the course of the following hour, the Annex
security team joined the TMF security officers in searching for Ambassador
Stevens and Mr. Smith. Together, they repelled sporadic gunfire and RPG fire
and assembled all other U.S. personnel at the facility. Officers retrieved the body
of Mr. Smith, but did not find Ambassador Stevens.

Pretty sad state of affairs when the Enquirer and TMZ out scoop CNN and MSN.

Here is how it was reported in the Senate Intelligence Committee report.

http://www.intelligence.senate.gov/b...4/benghazi.pdf

The Committee explored claims that there was a "stand down" order given to the security team at the Annex. Although some members of the security team expressed frustration that they were unable to respond more quickly to the Mission compound,12 the Committee found no evidence of intentional delay or obstruction by the Chief of Base or any other party.l3

Here is the description from the Unclassified ARB report.

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/202446.pdf

Just prior to receiving the TDY RSO’s distress call shortly after 2142 local,
the head of Annex security heard multiple explosions coming from the north in the
direction of the SMC. The Annex security head immediately began to organize
his team’s departure and notified his superiors, who began to contact
local security elements to request support. The Annex response team departed
its compound in two vehicles at approximately 2205 local. The departure of the Annex team was
not delayed by orders from superiors
; the team leader decided on his own to depart
the Annex compound once it was apparent, despite a brief delay to permit their
continuing efforts, that rapid support from local security elements was not
forthcoming.

Bottom line, it has been known for a long time that there was a delay in leaving the Annex. This is not new information.

The response team from the Annex arrived at the Mission roughly 25 minutes after the initial attack. So any delay at the Annex would have been brief, as has been reported for years now.

Doesn't anyone find it weird no person has been arrested for the killings? Lots of people say they know who did it and where they are but our government has yet to go after them.

Got something for you that you obviously have chosen to not consider.

If you are under attack by an overwhelming force any delay in rescue is an eternity.

After all, how long does it take to die?

STOP POSTING FACTS IN THIS THREAD!

The OP certainly never created this thread so facts could be disseminated. Quite the opposite, in fact. So if you can't run around like your hair is on fire then please have the decency of refraining from posting any more facts. You're ruining the rightwingers' buzz here.

This from a left winger whose relationship to facts does not, as with his political masters, does not exist.

Just yell loudly and continually and you can convince yourself that it is fact.

You are wrong.
