Those who say no, would you vote for that individual if they were a republican?

Nope!

My Christian Religion affects many of my political beliefs. Just as the Constitution was affected the Christian's Religion that wrote it.

If they are a muslim they would not fit my political belief. Their religion does not believe in woman's rights and gay rights and would surely effect policy.

Well, yes. People have been known to think that their fellow religionists are wrong on an issue and act accordingly.

First of all, it's "Islam", not "Muslim".
Secondly, ALL religions are cults.

cult
noun 1. a particular system of religious worship, especially with reference to its rites and ceremonies.

2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, especially as manifested by a body of admirers: the physical fitness cult.

3. the object of such devotion.

4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.

5. Sociology. a group having a sacred ideology and a set of rites centering around their sacred symbols.

Of course religion belief effects a persons beliefs and actions.

The wording of the poll question is not correct. And that would effect woman's and gay rights negatively.

Well, what can I say. I have a muslim acquaintance with whom I used to discuss our respective fundie religious mothers and laugh at them.

I used Malala as an example of a muslim that I might vote for. Dunno how she feels about gays, but to say she does not support women's rights is ludicrous.

Did you?

You might as well have a poll asking if you'd vote for a Leprechan if he held your beliefs. A true Muslim President and the Constitution/BoR cannot co-exist. Sharia law would be sure to follow.

Let's see. We've had 2 Muslims elected to Congress in our history, and both are strong supporters of women's and gay rights.
