when you tell the truth people get angry especially if its about their stuff. people lie to themselves and then they go lie to others. we believe what is convenient and makes us feel good about ourselves.
which is usually lies.
the hardest truth to face is in the mirror.

Yes! Thank God for Fox so there is a little diversity in the media!

FOX vs ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, PBS....

You obviously weren't alive in the 60's to make a statement like that...

Do you even know what nanny state means? "Republicans stand for anti-intellectualism"???

Your lack of understanding Republicanism is outstanding, and your statement, in general, makes no sense!

With President Obama at the helm, Republican/Conservative crap serves only to perpetuate the problems they created and obstruct. All while promoting the doomsday narrative. President Obama has been an excellent President. Best we've ever had. Get a clue.

Recap: pay attention to what Democrats stand for. They are the most enlightened. Ignore Republicans. They are always wrong and their policies are ineffective for all but the rich.

LOL.

Oops...Sorry, I thought you were being funny/sarcastic.

In the past 6 years, American citizens are taxed more and more, so that workers keep less and less of their salaries. Businesses have more and more regulations (with fees) AND taxes, so that they aren't able to have the cash to expand or hire more workers. If they can afford to, businesses leave the country where they are taxed less and have no minimum wage laws to follow when paying workers.

All this destroys the Middle Class = the Engine of the American Economy. The result has been a deterioration of what is known as the American Way of Life. (Also known as The American Dream.)

Look around, there are examples everywhere....

As far as he "dastardly Plan"...that's another conversation!

If you don't understand my statement then that's on you. I've re-read it a few times to make sure it makes sense and it does. Yes I understand what a nanny state is. I think you misunderstood what I was saying (shocker). I'm saying Republicans do not generally stand for a nanny state. Now conservatives claim that Democrats support a nanny state. I'd argue they do support it more than Republicans, but of course there's some exaggeration on the part of conservatives.

And yeah, Republicans absolutely support anti-intellectualism. It might even be their defining quality.

My lack of understanding "Republicanism" is outstanding? Your lack of understanding the world is outstanding if you think Republicans have your interests in mind and the Democrats are out to destroy us. Neither party cares about any of us. It's a game to get rich and powerful for them. They just take stands on things that will get them elected. Republicans try to appeal to rural voters, white people, anti-intellectuals, Christians, old people, etc. Democrats try to appeal to minorities, inner city voters, poor people, women, and young people. But neither party really cares about helping the groups they garner votes from.

He implied because I wasn't alive in the 60s so I lacked the perspective to realize it would destroy us. I'd argue I have more perspective precisely because I didn't grow up with all the anti-drug hysteria. Sure, we were taught not to do drugs, but in this day and age we have ways to learn for ourselves the dangers, or lack of dangers, of certain drugs.

I'll bet OFarrell still buys in to Reefer Madness propaganda about marijuana too.
