I talked to a Chicago Detective (and union lawyer) yesterday at the gym, and he believes that moral in the NYPD will plummet, and the proactive police work that has made NYC one of the safest in the US will suffer. Let's see if crime doesn't go up under this buffoon Bill de Blasio making such an idiotic comment. Can you imagine our POTUS making a similar statement about the US armed forces?
It seems NYC is famous for their buffoon politicians. I hope they are taught an important lesson.
Why should they go out of their way to do their job if they're not supported by the mayor, the news media, and the people?
They are public servants paid by the taxpayers, they don't get to choose what laws to enforce and they have received tremendous support from the mayor and others.

So then you agree they were right in attempting to arrest Eric garner?

Sorry the head Public Servant your Dear Leader disagrees with you. Guess you haven't been paying attention the last few years.

So public servants don't get to pick and choose what laws to enforce? Really? Tell that to Obama and Eric Holder who choose to not enforce federal laws all the time.
That's such bs. Do your damn job you fricken idiots. I know there are good cops out there, somewhere, but this whining from the NYPD just pisses me off. Don't strong arm people over little things that you assume, and stop overreacting to the point of someone's death. For an alleged cigarette.
I have to agree. There's something wrong when a citizen winds up dead for evading taxes by selling single cigarettes (TAX EVASION????) and a Rep congressmen only loses his job for essentially fiddling with a tax return of his or someone elses, am I wrong in this?
What about all the other taxes being evaded in that city? What about those tax evaders?
Is there something out of balance here?
