Sorry, it's a legitimate point. You can't argue what you do and then ignore the administrations dismissal of the laws. Their refusal to prosecute the people that crashed the economy. An administration that gave arms to drug dealers, lost them and caused the death of an officer and then lied about it.
If they'd had this approach to a guy selling single cigs for pennies back in July, instead of strangling him, they could have saved themselves a whole lot of grief.
Something tells me that slacking off now isn't going to gain them much support.
Yeah imagine if that convicted career criminal had just complied. Or maybe ate one less bigmac or two.

Yeah, now they don't want to do anything unless "absolutely necessary". Little too late for that.

Damn maybe Blooming idiot was on to something
You think. Not once, no matter how many times I've asked for it, has a single cop apologist on this forum shown any evidence that the police told Garner he was under arrest. And for the record, I'm NOT a liberal, so you can stop with the whole, "it's all liberals that are against this" b.s.
That's such bs. Do your damn job you fricken idiots. I know there are good cops out there, somewhere, but this whining from the NYPD just pisses me off. Don't strong arm people over little things that you assume, and stop overreacting to the point of someone's death. For an alleged cigarette.
They don't "feel safe" doing their jobs? Now they know how some of the citizens feel when they see a cop.
Little things? If they do not their jobs you got what you want; not approaching citizens. Should make you happy.
If an entire subset of public workers want to go on a slow down because they are upset about an elected official the elected official should propose massive layoffs since the workers are proving there is no need for their service
So why does he? Think most know; and others will see.
I have to agree. There's something wrong when a citizen winds up dead for evading taxes by selling single cigarettes (TAX EVASION????) and a Rep congressmen only loses his job for essentially fiddling with a tax return of his or someone elses, am I wrong in this?
What about all the other taxes being evaded in that city? What about those tax evaders?
Is there something out of balance here?
Or doesn't pay his taxes and becomes head of the IRS or continues to be a US Representative.

I'm thinking a whole lot of NYPD guys have been wishing for some time now that their brothers would have handled that entire Garner incident with a little more brains, smooth talk, and whole lot less attitude.

Why would anyone accommodate an obviously ridiculous request?
Hey..who wants racist, violent police on the street ? That's what New Yorkers are saying with their protests.
One day you're screaming about the police state and the next day you're screaming that you're not protected.
make up your minds already.
