This is disgusting. It's an attack on a Democrat who had the balls to blow the whistle on team Obama's wretched Iranian give away. They're making an example of Menendez to intimidate other Democrats into supporting Obama's veto of the bill which the Senate will pass to allow Congress (and the people) to oversee Obama's "deal" with the Iranian regime. The Obama/Kerry/Jarrett troika, along with his other advisers on Iran, are putting this country's security at GREAT risk. The American people should have a say.
Bet if RM changes his support for Obama's Cuba policy change and Iran talks, the charges get dropped.
All the while RM was under investigation for high crimes, the media was silent while broadcasting suspicion on Chris Christie for closing two lanes of traffic. Everyone thought RM case was over.
Just imagine if Menendez recuses himself on the vote on Loretta Lynch ( assuming that it ever comes to a vote). Maybe the democrats don't have enough for confirmation and Holder stays in office to prosecute a GOP favorite, it doesn't get any better than this.
Got to love the GOP love for a democrat, who knew.
Federal authorities have indicted Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) on corruption charges.
Menendez has been charged with 14 counts, including conspiracy to commit bribery and honest services fraud, in connection with his relationship with Salomon Melgen, a Florida ophthalmologist and political donor. Melgen has also been charged.
[MOD CUT/copyright violation]
The Senator will not vacate his seat and plans to fight it out.
The beat goes on. We get a glimpse of who these people are, and we keep voting them in.
The difference betweens dems and republicans is that the republican who gets caught resigns. The dem acts indignant and has to be dragged kicking and screaming off to jail.
More New Jersey corruption. And I say that as someone from Illinois.
