Duggar-style counseling does not inspire me with confidence. Any legitimate counselor is a mandatory reporter, so there would have been a report filed with someone other than the kiddie porn cop.
Where did you see that reported?

The girls talked about going thru DHS interviews.
My proof is that they said it. So until someone proves them wrong, I'll take their word for it. So go ahead and prove that there was not counseling. I'll wait.

No, if he was any other 14 year-old who touched his sisters inappropriately nothing of the sort would happen. The big difference is you wouldn't know about it. I keep throwing this out there but the research has repeatedly shown that minors that are caught engaging in sibling sexual abuse have a 3-4% recidivism rate. It is still lower for cases that do not involve penetration or oral genital contact. That is not my opinion, that is what the research shows. That does not justify what he did, but it needs to be put in its proper perspective.
Of course not at that time because few 14 year olds have kids. It does not matter what statistics you throw out a molester has no business being around children to make the temptation greater. You do not know that Josh Duggar does not have those desires anymore maybe he doesn't but it is just giving him oppurtunity to molest again. This is why convicted sex offenders are not allowed near schools or playgrouds.

Yet an accredited counselor would have had to report molestation to the authorities. But it was Oprahs staff that reported it.
I saw two well adjusted young adult women who firmly stated they had forgiven their brother, dealt with it and moved on--a long time ago. It is obvious they harbor no anger or ill feelings toward him today. It seems clear to me that the release of the records has traumatized them far in excess of what they experienced 12 years ago.
Yes, my perceptions are all subjective but so is everyone else's. I'm basing mine on what I saw, heard and perceived from the interview. The schadenfreuders here are basing theirs on their own negative opinions of the Duggars and pure conjecture.
