No, when the jury is deadlocked the judge always asks them to try to come to a consensus because that is their job. If they can't, a mistrial is declared and that sucks because no one wants a mistrial, because they suck.

I wonder which charges the jury reached verdicts on and which charge (or charges) they are deadlocked on. If the jury is deadlocked on one or more charges but had reached a verdict on other charges then the verdicts will stand and only the deadlocked charge(s) will be retried.
