in addition to what pghquest noted, there are over 21,000 pages, not regulations PAGES, of regulations that say otherwise. before obamacare, if you needed to add something to your plan it was as simple as talking to your insurance agent. after obamacare it cancel your existing policy, and find a new one that does everything the government wants it to do, regardless of the fact that half the things in the policy are things you dont need but you pay for them anyways, and still be affordable.
And because these new policies have all of the newly governmental mandates, even though you dont need them, the cost increased.
its IMPOSSIBLE for ACA to do what was promised, which is make things cheaper... Especially with all of the new welfare recipients its created and thus the taxes need to be raised in order to pay for them.

And part of that is the fact that containing costs is a problem.
Some of them (just like conservatives) are bound to hold otherwise authoritarian views. What makes you think that Obama doesn't believe in free discourse of opinions because there are some liberals that take things too far?
You do realize there is nothing in Obamacare that makes you lose your doctor, it is infact, the insurance companies and the doctors themselves who choose not to keep you on as a patient or changed your network.
