However, I must say that (beheading aside), the crucifixion angle has to be a new one on me. I guess the Saudis decided they had to step up their game to compete with the barbarity of the tried and true Iranian stoning and the terror of South African "necklacing". What better way than to bring back a form of torture and execution that hasn't been practiced since Antiquity, and add a whole new twist to the game!

I am no expert in Saudi law but I assume the crucifixion comes first and then they parade his head around on a spike. That takes beheading to make that possible.

The beheading is done first in a public area and is usually unannounced. The body is later hung from a horizontal beam for three days. People shouldn't envision the Christian view of crucifixion as it not the same.
Why behead then crucify? Because these barbarians practice a stone age religion that relies on keeping people in fear of their lives, lest they expose the extreme corruption of the Saudi dynasty. And this kids headless body hanging from a cross is intended to remind everyone how they treat anyone questioning how their government works. Or doesn't work.
Why on earth we have anything to do with these scumbags, especially after 9/11, is baffling. They still have to sell their oil, and we still have to buy it, it does not mean we have to do this though.
I guess selling them F-15's and Apache helicopters, that they would never use against their ISIS brothers, is more important than anything else.
As I said earlier, I suspect 99% of persons now on death row would disagree that prison is worse than beheading.
I think you would be wrong, most people on death row have already accepted their fate. Also the saudis behead people with a large sword, it's not really that different from a guillotine and is pretty quick.
