There were 600+ requests for additional security in Beirut? Did Reagan try to destroy the documents? Did he say that the bombing was a result of a video that no one knew about and then head over to Nancy and say "Hey wife, that bombing was a direct terrorist attack, just don't tell the American people that."?
A lot of people on this board are damned OK with this nonsense from our officials so long as a (D) is after the name.

There were some security enhancements at Benghazi, which one of those requests would have made a difference.
These requests are not done at her level, there are experts that determine what goes forward. There are almost 200 foreign embassies and consulates, you want the Secretary of State to review each request, is that th eway it worked in th epast.

It didn't make Hillary look any better or worse, but it certainly made Republicans look worse. They came across as corrupt people who are using their position and taxpayer money to conduct partisan witch hunts. When you hear them suggest she didn't meet face-to-face with the survivors because she didn't care about them, it is beyond obvious the whole show had nothing to do with Bengasi and everything to with trying to discredit her.
In that sense the whole thing was a gift to her campaign.
I know! It makes my stomach turn reading some of these comments. She has been caught in so many lies but that doesn't seem to matter to many posters. Really shows you the lack of intelligence and moral compass in this country.

Still stuck on the video after 3 years, the GOP should have moved on to more important matters like they claimed. Instead they spent a large part of theri time on the video, I thought the point of these hearings was to make sure this never happened again but here we are back at the begginning.
