How can you be so complacent?!?!? Don't you know taking out the Christmas trees was all part of the big, bad, librul WAR ON CHRISTMAS??? It's right up there with Starbucks red coffee cups! Geesh! Open your eyes, people!

Cue the start of the crazy season...

I do think the outrage over the glacier Santa set was justified though. They replaced something traditional, beautiful, and festive with something ugly, cold, and uninviting. Considering that mall shopping is a huge part of our consumerist holiday experience and the decorations are a part of that, I think Simon has made the right call in bringing back the traditional display.

No, they didn't. It's the start of the annual War on Christmas poutrage.

I don't see how rolling out a brand new glacier display in 7 of their malls with lighting and sound effects is saving any money. The trees these malls use are not real. They just need to pull them out of storage and decorate.
Your assuming. It didn't say anything about Christmas trees offending people.

Maybe they can have it break apart and eventually fill the mall, or melt and flood the mall.

That's what glaciers do.

Nobody protested the use of trees. It was all some lamebrain's idea to freshen things up.

You are not playing the game right. The correct response is, things like not putting up Christmas trees or saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas are directly offensive to Baby Jesus! Geesh! Don't you know anything about the War on Christmas?

Rest assured, the Christian Soldiers do, and they will be along any moment now to set you straight. And will continue to do so for the next seven weeks.

Happy Holidays!

You gonna try to pass a law saying businesses must put up Christmas trees? Good luck with that.

I thought righties were all about personal freedom and removing restrictions from businesses? Only when it suits them, I guess.
Agreed. It must be a slow day at the Conservative Outrage over Imagined Stupid **** Center.
