Actually here's what, organic Spinach or any vegetable that is raised in a plot that has not had 9 months between fertilizing with organic material (compost/manure) and harvesting.

USDA regs changed recently, and require 9 months between fertilizing with compost/manure and first harvest from that plot. Spinach is an early crop normally requiring 4-6 months seed to growing time. De facto it's made organic spinach illegal, because either the organic farmer can't fertilize with the only approved organic fertilizers (thus not being an organic farmer), or wastes his time and profit growing spinach where he has to leave his field fallow for 3-5 months to grow that spinach, because he can't crop in that plot anything with a 3-5 month growing season either.

There's a big stink about it, probably an unintended consequence of trying to protect the stupid

I'm fine when you voluntarily give up your civil rights, but the day you try and take mine. You DIE.

Thank god for congress... All they need to do is grow a backbone.

The right wing hysteria in this thread is unbelievable (and entertaining). This is the exact thing the conservatives push here in Texas to get their votes. And all the while they are completely clueless to the fact that they are getting played like a cheap guitar.

Says the cheap guitar. BTW, do yo have any examples of said hysteria,, or are you just strumming yourself? Remember, the bar you have to meet is "hysteria". Anything less, and your strings break.

In the context of todays gun violence do you really think unrestricted gun sales from online sources is a good idea?

In the light of a congress that is determined to remove our rights, to satisfy the UN, and some irresponsible parents yelling about their gang children getting guns , and the false flags that are long ago proven fraud :Sandyhook" and the flood of illegals .
All the more reason for more responsible citizens to own guns and get training with them.
An armed society is a polite society.

And yet, no one is taking your precious guns. Keep up the hysteria though!

No one is taking your guns. On the contrary, gun laws have expanded like never before in recent years.

Not yet they have not, but they sure have hampered my ability to acquire a firearm and especially ammunition, should they want to get anymore oppressive on our civil rights.

Tell me again. What an illegal firearm is, when your right and my right to own any weapon it takes to suppress all forms of oppression, Shall not be infringed. Especially, by the very government that has the most power, ability and reason, to oppress the free people?
