Does anybody know if this bill has an attachment that quadruples the number of H-2B's? That is what I heard and it sounds natural that our government would push for it before another San Bernardino. But I don't know; just wondering?
It does. It took some digging, but that was inserted by Senator Barbara Mikulski (D., Md.) and Senator Thom Tillis (R., N.C.). But it seems for all of the outrage from the majority party, it stayed in the bill. So that tells me that the either the Republican leadership isn't listening to it's party's membership, or the conservative outrage is just for show. Big business got what big business wanted.
It doesn't get voted on if not for Ryan. Sorry, this belongs to the GOP.
Typically they push these kinds of bills through, and then either pretend they were not there, or blame it on someone else. I would be very surprised if they assume any responsibility for it.

The FINAL say are the Dems, they are going to be the majority votes AND the President has veto power. No need to blame the R's when the Dems can stop it but won't.
The sheer head in the sand viewpoint of this boggles the mind.
Don't blame the Republicans who have the majority, blame the Democrats!

nope. You guys didnt want to blame both parties when Dems were in charge even though it was clear Republicans had enough votes to stop bills and exercised that power, so now, you have to blame republicans since they are in the majority.

Actually I did. A good example is when congress forced the Army to buy tanks the Army said they didn't want or need. That was a bipartisan push.
The F-35 is another example.

Thank you! If Americans want to work in America; we should vote the whole gang out of office - they are not on our side!
