Nothing in that answers my question. What % of the tax breaks is for middle class?

BTW the article does point out that they are breaking it into 2 pieces. The spending that will pass via Democrat support, and the taxation which will pass via Republican support. That way they can go and tell constituents "Look I didnt vote for that!"

Sorry, but if your deal is to pass it by voting for one thing, and against another such that both pass...you are in fact making both pass.
sorry, but those aticles talk about the big picture...not what a percent this or that is

but this link. http://www.bankrate.com/finance/taxe...g-money-1.aspx ... says the EIC it self is well over 200 billion..I would assume the child tax credit being exended from its original 600 to 1000 would make up most of the other

and the solar/wind/ energy conservation tax credit would also round out that

the fact is that most of the tax cuts/extensions are for the poor and middlclass....as the cuts phase out at 180k, meaning the rich CAN'T use them

Oh look at someone take the entire tax breaks cost, and apply that to the portion of it that was added, then try and say its all about the middle class.

Here let me help you.

60% of the tax breaks are corporate.

http://big.assets.huffingtonpost.com/extenders2015.pdf

Bonus depreciation will cost us 90 billion this next year alone. Expensing is another one that is 22 billion this year.

The child tax cost? Well that seems to kick in around 2019, and the first years cost is.....12 billion. 22 if I include the related items.
(page 9 footnotes)

Please do not try and claim the whole EITC is a huge part of this when its just small change. Sheesh.

All added to the debt with nary an offset in sight. Ushered through Congress by the party that continually claims that reducing the debt is their top priority. The next time a Republican makes that bogus claim this atrocity needs to be thrown in their face.

It doesn't get voted on if not for Ryan. Sorry, this belongs to the GOP.

The FINAL say are the Dems, they are going to be the majority votes AND the President has veto power. No need to blame the R's when the Dems can stop it but won't.

Complaints about extending less than $1 billion in tax credits for alternative energy, but crickets from the far right about the credits on foreign assets, financing income, sales tax deductions and (the biggie) bonus depreciation.

Republicans got virtually everything they wanted but then turn around and complain that they "had to compromise" on items that amount to chump change in the budget. They don't want deficit reduction, they just want to make sure that deficit spending benefits their interest.

Cowards.....how did they win a large majority. They made promises they are now reneging on.

Those who voted for them to stop run away spending are going to get mad if they would actually do that?

Of course not. Enough with with apologies for failure and lies.
