This is prosecutorial grandstanding. They don't really have a case at all, 2004 + 12 equals 2016. Statute of limitations, so they're arresting him now so they can file motions and prolong their charade of a case. If they had any sort of evidence we'd already be at trial and Coz would be meeting Jared for some special purpose time in the joint.
Now before you wet yourself over my statements, I'm telling you the reason. Not assigning guilt at all. Nor am I denying that he may have indeed done these acts he accused of. I'm just stating why this is happening now, a day and a half before the statute of limitations runs out.

That's a very interesting observation and most likely the truth.
It might be hard for the state to prove anything here without any actual physical or forensic evidence. The entire case will revolve around hearsay. It will be interesting how it turns out.
The charges stem from the details in the deposition.
