Brain waves is not evidence of self-awareness. An adult chicken has brain waves, but shows no evidence of self-awareness. Please read the link I already provided.
Infants develop self-awareness around the age of
15-24 months.

If you can't provide valid scientific research indicating that a fetus develops self-awareness at 12-14 weeks, it's a blatant fallacy to support a factually empty perspective.

I wasn't referring to a persistent vegetative state, but someone in a medical coma. A person in a medical coma will likely regain consciousness eventually, while someone in a PVS probably won't.
Someone in a PVS usually has such severe brain damage or entire brain death that they almost certainly have no self-awareness, and probably never will again. For all meaningful and practical purposes they are dead. So, neither a fetus nor someone in PVS has any self-awareness.
