I don't support the subsidizing of pollution.

Well right now we are competing against countries without standards, that is a distinct advantage. They will gravitate to countries with weak worker protections and environmental laws like India, Vietnam and China.

We can address that. Germany does.

I tried to rep this post but I couldn't. I must be one of the few people not surprised by the outcome of the referendum on Brexit.

So it came to fruition, the same thing happened in the US as Brexit - shadow voters voted in anonymity because of shaming from strong voices in public and media circles

Silent voters changed history

Maybe the intelligent among the "intelligentsia" should pay more attention to people whom they look down upon.

Both votes were close, so no landslides. But I agree that in both cases many were surprised about the full size of the disgruntled populist voting blocks.

Nope. More than 60 million American voters were right there with you. They voted for Trump.

The elites/establishment/MSM have TOTALLY lost touch with the working class and Brexit and President Trump are the consequences of that. And while I give Michael Moore a LOT of credit for putting it into words in regards to how the 2016 election turned out in the U.S., the same exact sentiment applies to the Brexit vote, as well:

"Trump's Election Will Be The Biggest F You Ever Recorded In Human History"

Now your getting carried away Truman was the largest upset in history, his own party ran two candidates against him and he still was victorius. I wouldn't try to read too much into the two most unpopular candidates running against each other but I do think this was about change, very narrowly.

Me? Michael Moore expressed the winning sentiment, in both cases.
