Some woman rubbed my back recently. I didn't realize this was an invitation to rape her. I hope she wasn't too insulted with my non-rapey choice. She seemed like a nice lady.

Yeah, he wasn't humping her, he was trying to show her his swim moves! How dare she fall asleep during such an important demonstration!

You really think people are jealous of a rapist?! Even if we were to ignore what a horrible person he is, did you not see his mug shot? No one is jealous of that...

Here is a simple solution to reducing most campus rape: Stop drinking alcohol. The end.

She chose to get drunk. It's like driving while drunk. If you choose to do that, you increase your chances of bad things happening.

Part of what is behind the near unanimous view here that the Stanford kid deserves much more severe punishment may be middle class resentment at the "decadent" the values of the rich.[/quote]

Naw.

I'm pretty well off and many of my friends and colleagues are millionaires. Hell, my dad went to Stanford.

And we all think this is scummy behavior.

Are you kidding?

Driving while drunk increases the chance that you will do something bad. Not that someone else will do something bad to you. You people make me sick.

Will he be a registered sex offender after this, or will it get expunged?

By "bad things happening," you mean driving drunk and hitting someone, killing someone, smashing someone's car, wrecking other people's property. Those are things a drunk person does TO someone else. The drunk person is at fault and breaking the law. If I am mugged and robbed (something done TO ME), nobody says, "Well, were you drinking? Maybe you should have been more vigilant."
