Exactly! The Majority of Americans are "Pro Choice" regardless of what those trumped up polls say. And every year, that number will rise and rise.
The OPs idea of letting in all those Muslims who kill their people for Abortion related thinking, kill their people for being Gay, and kill people for drawing cartoons of their God, is not exactly the answer to any problems we may have. Even to suggest it is ludicrous.
BBM^^
First off The murdering was NOT because of cartoons about Their GOD..It was BECAUSE of cartoons of their deemed PROPHET MUHAMMAD Huge difference. Then again The God both religions speak of the SAME..Prophet Muhammed was no different than what Christians worship in Jesus..as the SON of God..
Note : Islam views Muhammed as the Prophet..Christians believe Jesus is the SON of God..Jewish believe Jesus was a Prophet of God...I say..WTHeck is everybody Fighting wars all about??
Meanwhile..Extremists..Sunni Muslims/ extreme Christians/ Hatred towards anyone who doesn't follow PRECISELY their particular interpretations..MAN..It's becoming like the "HATFIELD'S and McCoys" constant battled within 19th Century America...Family hating on other family....Whats so different..other than it's WORLD Wide HatField and McCoy mentality and killing hundreds of thousands if not millions.. WHY?? ALL because of biases and extreme HATE towards those others!!
Having said what I did above..I have to also suggest..on a Political level I've been observing and reading for past 8 years..The very same vile hatred towards "LIBS" by Republicans has been unrelenting ..and Everyone wonders WHY the likes of Trump emerges??
He's nothing more than an opportunist..a false prophet who is leading some down the garden path!! But , democracy does allow those to also be allowed to yell and scream their false based excitement for their new Leader of past suppressed bigotry/racial hatred! Hail Trumpster LOL
As Trump has spent 1 year doing alienating his followers against ALL others..Don't count on GOP (Trump) to aline themselves with Muslims..SMH
Another fascinating thing to think about: you know how Republicans repeatedly describe the Democrats as a party of "baby killers"? A party that has enabled the destruction of 2,800 children PER DAY in America? And you know how Republicans repeatedly believe they are morally superior to the Democratic Party because of this issue?
Imagine what Muslims are thinking about America as a whole, when it comes to this issue. Oh boy.
We're in America criticizing Muslim honor killings, beheadings in Saudi Arabia, execution of gays. I wonder if people in Islamic countries are wondering what the big deal is when Americans have "murdered" 53 million kids since 1973, and legally too!
But if abortion is murder, then all the Muslim terrorist attacks on the US are just a drop in the bucket compared to the 53 million slaughtered children since 1973. Plus we only have about 30 Muslim terrorists who have successfully attacked and killed Americans on American soil since 1973, I believe. Meanwhile, probably at least 30-40 million Americans have "murdered" their children. So the scale of the mass murder that happens under abortion is far, far, far, far higher than what Muslim terrorists have been able to pull off.
Importing 10-30 million Muslims into America could be the reinforcements the pro-life crowd needs to save the next 50 million "murdered" kids
because right now there seems to be a stalemate over Roe v Wade, with little likelihood that abortion will ever be outlawed in our lifetime. What is the pro-life crowd's strategy to get Roe v Wade overturned?
Also Statistics show that white people are increasingly becoming atheist or "no religion" in America. They are the fastest growing atheist group in the country. The pro-life crowd seems to be getting weaker, not stronger.
once again you are focused on a single issue rather than the whole picture. while muslims and christians agree on abortion, there are many other things they disagree on. and there in lies the problem. import a bunch of muslims to overturn roe v wade, and now you have a much bigger problem to deal with. how many of these muslims are going to band together to try and force sharia law on the country?
and once again i agree that we need to eliminate abortion, or reduce it to a bare minimum, but importing a bunch of people that hate this country is not the way to do it.
Oh, I fully expect that in the not-far-distant future, social conservatives - christians, muslims, jews, hindus etc - will form at least an uneasy alliance on an anti-abortion, anti-homosexuality platform.
People who are religiously motivated on these issues won't be giving up, and many of them believe that it's society's/government's job to prohibit abortion and homosexuality. Since a majority of americans disagree with them about this, if they want to make any headway, they'll have to reach out to each other.
Edited to add - didn't vote because it's immaterial to me what Rs do on this...
The OP seems to be really confused about the impact of a Supreme Court decision like Roe v. Wade. Even if millions of pro-lifers were imported, converted from pro-choice, etc. it would not matter and abortion would still be legal due to the Supreme Court's decision. A SCOTUS decision can't be overturned by popular vote or legislative action. Only nine people (eight right now) on the entire planet have the power to overturn Roe v. Wade, and those same nine people are bound by the court's previous decisions. The only possible way around the court is with a constitutional amendment that bans abortion and that is less likely to happen than a unicorn buying a winning lottery ticket while being struck by lightning.
Pro-lifers that believe that Roe v. Wade will be overturned and abortion will be made illegal are suckers and their own movement is playing them for fools.

Nor does it mean anyone's religious beliefs should form the basis for US law.

You really should have put a fourth option in the poll:
4. Poll question is too ridiculous to take seriously.
