You have a bigger problem than roe v wade even though 2800 americans are supposedly murdered every 24 hours because of it????

Again, only about 30 muslims have attacked America since 1776. In the past 24 hours 2800 americans have, by republican logic, been killed by their christian parents.

The moral stakes are vastly different though. According to the republican party, over 50 million Americans have been murdered since 1973 due to abortion. Women's rights and gay rights has no comparable death toll.

Thank goodness for that too. Think about how many more parasites we would have if those trashy women hadn't aborted their future criminals and welfare scroungers.

People who are religiously motivated on these issues won't be giving up, and many of them believe that it's society's/government's job to prohibit abortion and homosexuality. Since a majority of americans disagree with them about this, if they want to make any headway, they'll have to reach out to each other.

Edited to add - didn't vote because it's immaterial to me what Rs do on this...
The republicans have alienated all nonwhite demographics though
Muslims, blacks and latinos are the most anti abortion groups out there and the GOP has alienated them all

The GOP appears to have no strategy to actually overturn Roe v Wade which leads me to believe that republicans do not actually believe abortion is murder. the issue has fallen into irrelevance for them

One also wonders if republicans have realized that most abortions are done by low income democrats and as such feel mess motivated to prevent abortions

A SCOTUS decision can't be overturned by popular vote or legislative action. Only nine people (eight right now) on the entire planet have the power to overturn Roe v. Wade, and those same nine people are bound by the court's previous decisions. The only possible way around the court is with a constitutional amendment that bans abortion and that is less likely to happen than a unicorn buying a winning lottery ticket while being struck by lightning.

Pro-lifers that believe that Roe v. Wade will be overturned and abortion will be made illegal are suckers and their own movement is playing them for fools.
If that is the case then the prolife republicans truly have no chance of stopping abortion without the importation of tens of millions of muslims, africans and or latinos

Only then will that constitutional amendment have the sufficient democratic power behind it to be passed

Therein lies the dilemma pro life republicans face.

Under america's current demographics, they have no chance of defeating abortion's legality.
The only way to defeat it would be to mass import the people they have opposed for decades: muslims, latinos and maybe africans too. But to do so would likely lead to the victory of socialists like bernie sanders.

What a predicament you find yourselves in!

I wouldn't assume my opinion is consistent with the standard Republican view on abortion. In fact, most Republicans would be disgusted by my view.

Regarding abortion, I think there are two types of Rs -

1) religiously-motivated anti-abortion folks who care about taking a public stance, regardless of whether the argument is politically winnable

2) politically-motivated anti-abortion folks, who, while they oppose abortion, are also concerned that trying to ban or further regulate it will damage their political possibilities on other issues

I think the religiously-motivated folks truly don't care whether "...most abortions are done by low income democrats" (a dubious proposition, BTW, but I'll let it pass for the sake of discussion).

No it proves you have no idea what you're talking about and make ignorant leaps of liberal logic.
