So you've got no problems with people droning on about slavery, right?

And you weren't born in the Confederacy. You were born in a southern state that will always belong to these United States until the sun explodes.

Grant and Sherman taught your ancestors a lesson that you should pay close heed to. And they did it in brutal fashion.

That's why they will probably fade out on the national scene and do well in local elections with the white poorly educated bigoted areas in the middle of the country, Appalachia, the South and outside the cities (note: I am not including all people that live in these areas b/c I know there are a lot of good people there too). My concern is the vacuum that will occur when we only have only one national party. The Republican establishment opened the party to this current nationalist populism. They own it. Anyway, hoping a Liberal Party can grow while the Democrats become the conservative (fiscal) party. We shall see in the coming year(s).

So is it OK to discuss how bad slavery was ad infinitum without being told to "quit talking about it...no one alive now was a slave."

Well, none of you lived in the Confederacy either.
What 150 years ago? Yeah keep talking it's healthy. For Christs sake move on.

Drone on...it goes in one ear out the other while I laugh away. Oh I was born in an occupied country. That is not up for discussion you can think whatever you want on that if it makes you happy its none of your business anyways since you ain't from here and sure in the hell wouldn't be welcome. Those 2 scum like Lincoln were war criminals and scum. I guess you don't mind Grants anti semitic ban on Jews in areas he had cleared now do ya? Just the fact he was a war criminal that murdered and raped and robbed my country.Uppity folks don't last long down here....

Was the ''ban'' one of Obama's executive orders?

It's a very bad practice becoming all to common, the game is played by both sides.

The "American Taliban" are the right wing Christian fundamentalists who permeate the GOP. I've heard that expression countless times in reference to them. Last I heard, this "American Taliban" was hell-bent on forcing prayer in school and trying to pass creationism off as real science. I know of no one in the Democratic party who wishes any of this.

So in essence, your assertion that the GOP is trying to stop this from happening is truly laughable. They are the ones who are actively promoting it.

They can do that stuff in their private schools I DO NOT want it in public school. As far as creationism goes that's their choice I think it belongs in private schools or at home though. That stuff is not real science no matter what anyone wants to say. The American Taliban is the leftists that want to destroy history because it offends them. Their head is the democratic party.

Default Senate Democrats Block Zika Bill Over Planned Parenthood Provisions

Welcome back congress, seems like this should have been passed months ago since summer is almost over.
Here we go again.

Quote:
WASHINGTON — As Congress returned from a seven-week recess on Tuesday, Senate Democrats again stymied a $1.1 billion plan to fight the Zika virus, demanding that Republicans drop an effort to block Planned Parenthood from receiving money to combat the mosquito-borne disease.
..............
...............................................
The Republican-driven package was supposed to resolve the differences between a bipartisan Senate plan and a less Democrat-friendly House version. The bill would exclude Planned Parenthood from the list of providers that get new funding for contraception to combat spread of the virus, which can be sexually transmitted.
