I truly don't care about anyone's opinion about the Confederate flag. Its my flag I was born and raised in the south and will die here. Don't like the flag? DON'T FLY ONE! The Confederate flag flew over NO slave ships. The US flag did. So your whining is misplaced but like I said...I don't care. I have to value someone's opinion before caring about their opinion.

It's not like the Republicans don't have more pressing issues that need their attention. They are on the very cusp of becoming irrelevant for generations to come and this is what's keeping them up at night? Incredible.
That's why they will probably fade out on the national scene and do well in local elections with the white poorly educated bigoted areas in the middle of the country, Appalachia, the South and outside the cities (note: I am not including all people that live in these areas b/c I know there are a lot of good people there too). My concern is the vacuum that will occur when we only have only one national party. The Republican establishment opened the party to this current nationalist populism. They own it. Anyway, hoping a Liberal Party can grow while the Democrats become the conservative (fiscal) party. We shall see in the coming year(s).

The "American Taliban" are the right wing Christian fundamentalists who permeate the GOP. I've heard that expression countless times in reference to them. Last I heard, this "American Taliban" was hell-bent on forcing prayer in school and trying to pass creationism off as real science. I know of no one in the Democratic party who wishes any of this.

They can do that stuff in their private schools I DO NOT want it in public school. As far as creationism goes that's their choice I think it belongs in private schools or at home though. That stuff is not real science no matter what anyone wants to say. The American Taliban is the leftists that want to destroy history because it offends them. Their head is the democratic party.

The Republican-driven package was supposed to resolve the differences between a bipartisan Senate plan and a less Democrat-friendly House version. The bill would exclude Planned Parenthood from the list of providers that get new funding for contraception to combat spread of the virus, which can be sexually transmitted.
