Did anybody in the North learn ANY history? I get the idea they didn't from statements you just made. The ONLY flag connected to slavery was the American Flag. The confederate flag was a battle flag. There was slavery here before the country was founded and the generals took their slaves along to battle for their comfort on both sides of the battle. The war was really about economics and the slaves were just pawns. The south was becoming too successful.
The Slaver States (how they referred to themselves) were afraid slave rebellions would interfere with their success.
What were the founding principles of the Confederacy? Does the history taught in the former Confederate States include a reading of the CSA Constitution?
How did the Confederate States of America intend to be different from the United States of America?
The Confederate States approved their Constitution on March 11th, 1861; it's largely a word for word duplicate of the US Constitution. The biggest changes made were regarding slavery:
(4) No bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law denying or impairing the right of property in negro slaves shall be passed.
The following link contains a side-by-side comparison of the US & CSA Constitutions, this from the Summary:
Quote:
...As far as slave-owning rights go, however, the document is much more effective. Four different clauses entrench the legality of slavery in a number of different ways, and together they virtually guarantee that any sort of anti-slave law or policy would be unconstitutional. People can claim the Civil War was "not about slavery" as much as they want, but the fact remains that anyone who fought for the Confederacy was fighting for a country in which a universal right to own slaves was one of the most entrenched laws of the land. ...
Yes my point for years on this forum and the Slavery issue did not come latter, because Lincoln needed more Soldiers!
For the outraged Liberals there was about equal amount of Blacks that owned slaves.
The cotton crop was the other issue. The south prices were high compared to India and other countries that grew cotton.
A few freed blacks owned slaves but in most cases they had personal ties to that slave and bought them to protect them. They didn`t tear families apart to retail them to the highest bidder. A nearly equal amount of black and white slave owners is pure nonsense.

Also nonsensical, or, at the least, propaganda:
"King Cotton" as a slogan summarized the strategy used before the American Civil War of 1861-1865 by pro-secessionists in the Southern States (the future Confederacy) to claim the feasibility of secession and to prove there was no need to fear a war with the Northern States. ...
Quote:
...Cotton's central place in the national economy and its international importance led Senator James Henry Hammond of South Carolina to make a famous boast in 1858:
Quote:
Without firing a gun, without drawing a sword, should they make war on us, we could bring the whole world to our feet... What would happen if no cotton was furnished for three years?... England would topple headlong and carry the whole civilized world with her save the South. No, you dare not to make war on cotton. No power on the earth dares to make war upon it. Cotton is king.[3]
I truly don't care about anyone's opinion about the Confederate flag. Its my flag I was born and raised in the south and will die here. Don't like the flag? DON'T FLY ONE! The Confederate flag flew over NO slave ships. The US flag did. So your whining is misplaced but like I said...I don't care. I have to value someone's opinion before caring about their opinion.
So flying the Treason Flag is ok but heaven forbid someone fly a Mexican flag, a Dominican flag, a Salvadoran flag, or a Puerto Rican flag? Got it
Does the GOP realize this is an emergency, doesn't look like they care.
Of course not, right now the Zika virus is only having a serious impact on southern Florida, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, etc - places where Hispanics and Blacks live. The Republican Party only cares about Whites who live in the Deep South and rural areas of Western and Midwestern states.
I have said time and again that people in Miami and San Juan should send their medical bills for Zika treatment to Congress.
There is hardly a Congressional Bill that is presented where Republican have not colluded it with some of their agenda items of a nature which has absolutely nothing to do with the Bill's original aims and proposed objectives, yet they dilute what is being presented or what that bill was designed to do, with collusive clutter for vain and self centered pursuits.
American people can best serve to minimize the presence of Republican in our House and Senate. Then move forward to minimize the Republican's who are given Governor Positions. Then this nation can fix its problems, improve its conditions and meet and raise its standards of quality in all areas of the living standards of American people.
This hateful group is truly an atrocity. Just imagine if a Germany will allow people to put Nazi Flags all over their territory, it simply is not going to happen, because they accept and understand the nature of the tragedy that Nazism was. Some American's on the other hand do not want to accept nor realize what a Tragedy the Confederacy was along with its Antebellum Ideals that it desired to spread across this nation.
many of those who support the Confederacy have absolutely no true understanding of what a tragedy and horror slavery was. Because they were not on the receiving end of slavery or being descendants of those who were enslaved.
Surely many died, but when one die for an unjust cause, which also was an act of subversive drive, with a war footing and engagement to try and push its will over the United States, that is no small matter and they were defeated. on the Battle Fields of America. Yet, they continue the dishonesty of not honoring the full embrace of what is a surrender. Still to this day, they try and push the bias and segregationist concepts and continue with their push to promote antebellum ideology of class and race divisiveness, which is filled with aims and constructs for promoting inequity.
The Noble premise of what is The United States of America was victorious; it is a continual attempt at covert manners of subversive demeanor to continue to try and rally promote and support the celebrations of the Confederacy, here 150+ years later, this is still being celebrated and promoted by some as if they are unaware of what the Confederacy stood for against the United States of America.
American Democracy has its core and base foundation in "Equality" and within that it promote "Liberty", NOT divisiveness. The United States of America stand for the respect of All american people with not segregationist ideology based on race, creed or color. This is in stark contrast to what the Confederacy of Southern States Stood for, which was Slavery and Indenture as the core of its premise for existence. Out of the Confederacy Ideology came the likes of the black codes which was directly against the premise of Re-Construction, with that, the laws and habits and social process of Jim Crow ideological separatism, inequality in economic function and stature, segregationist promotions in every social category and violence which was not only promoted by sanctioned by the idealist who's adoption of this antebellum class and race divisiveness spread itself with a sense of vile and haughtiness that desecrated every premise of what is Equality in These United States of American, therefore standing in direct opposition to what it the basis of Democracy, which is Equality.
It is wise for people today, to truly understand what is the Confederacy in principle and ideology, and that can be seen through the history of violence against blacks, vile against the Constitutional Provisions for and of Equality, and contortions over a long history of twisting the laws to discriminate and incarcerate without remorse of even concern to consider the inhumanity of their acts and actions.
In this day and age, it is an atrocity that the masses still don't understand the push and shoving done by the wealthy of the Confederate Democrats of the Confederate Southern States known as the Confederacy; who were driven and guided by the Wealthy Slave Owners and the Industrialist, who profited by and the abuse and enslavement of an entire race within these sphere of their influence. Every aspect of the same Christian values was flipped upside down, and the Seven Deadly Sins became more revered without a concern to think of the Seven Virtues, except to claim them solely for themselves based on Skin Color. Thus so, such ones tried to incorporate a life driven and directed by an embrace of both evil and good, as if they could serve God and Live by the Devils Guidelines. In doing so, they chose evil as the premise to feed their lusting for the Seven Deadly sins, and Avarice was so dominant they became haughty and pride filled to follow greed' manifestations of conduct in how they carried on their concerns of enriching themselves. They tried to push an image of a God like person for the sake of covering up the madness they chose to devote themselves unto and into, and chose too, to embrace a group that found its sense of symbolism in hooded attire, and setting fire to the Cross.
When a fact of Christian Symbolism in many places around the world, revere the Cross, as it is consider a symbolic reference to the devotion of Christ Suffrage for the people of this world in honor of God for the Sacrifice he suffered upon the Cross for the Salvation of Mankind. And... even still to this day, groups like the KKK choose "burning the cross" as their basis of gathering routine. They even burned crosses on people laws, as if to say, "to hell with Christ"... and you be damned to people of Color.
There is likely no greater display of abomination unto the sake of the Lord in and among any group to the present and actions as that of these vile beings, who's true worship was greed, self consumption, money and the madness against other mankind. Among these types, they chant "we have to protect our women", yet, incest is a cornerstone among their group, as is; the wife beating madness that has been a mainstay within their ranks.
When the malice of man tries to mix evil and think they can guild it with pretense of claims about Christian Values, while at the same time, support hooded men on missions of social violence and predation of every sort against people because of the color of their skin, race and creed. Such is what is the presentation and representation of a living evil.
How much longer will this American society be of tolerance for such desecration's of the Nations Constitution and the Premise it stands to promote in these United States of America. Evil Doers are of a Cunning and Conniving Nature, this is what the world of American people must understand, see, and know, and work to eradicate such from the sphere of our United States of America.

When money is ones God, they may well espouse views as you do, that have no concept nor reference to the humanity of black people and not a single reference to the concern of human dignity. Thank you for clearly identifying oneself within the ranks of those who perpetuated the vile that raged across this country for Centuries.
"If Cotton was such a value, then it goes without saying, that the higher value was the life of black people, because without that life, there would have been no production and no harvest and certainly no profit. IF anything, one should be of more respect, honor and regard of the sacrifice of black people even as those sacrifices were extracted by vile and inhumane force. It was and remains principle that the value of the black life is of the foundation that built the economic system and supported its thriving. What results is the white slave owner and the system of society it existed were but parasites, feeding upon those whom it held in bondage by any and every vile means, as the parasites worshiped "money" above the value and respect of human life."
So, can we say, Democrats don't want to fund Zika research?
Republicans are dishing up a bit of Democrats own tricks, and you don't like it! Tough!
Don't blame this one on Democrats! The Republicans own it and will bear the responsibility if we have thousands of babies born with microcephaly needing extensive care and millions in Medicaid for each of their lives.
Quote:
Babies with microcephaly can have a range of other problems, depending on how severe their microcephaly is. Microcephaly has been linked with the following problems:
Seizures
Developmental delay, such as problems with speech or other developmental milestones (like sitting, standing, and walking)
Intellectual disability (decreased ability to learn and function in daily life)
Problems with movement and balance
Feeding problems, such as difficulty swallowing
Hearing loss
Vision problems
Don't blame this one on Democrats! The Republicans own it and will bear the responsibility if we have thousands of babies born with microcephaly needing extensive care and millions in Medicaid for each of their lives.
How many bees must die for each case of Zika prevented?
