Well guess what, YOU LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ARE STUCK WITH IT so grab a tissue, wipe your eyes then drink some warm cocoa and hug your tree owl because nothing is going to change even with the dumb petition.
Face it, what you want is NEVER going to happen no matter how much you wish it so either leave the U.S. or start rowing the boat like the rest of us...
Out-of-staters always say this...and it has never stopped California from changing the world.

so go ahead...try to have the state leave the country.... you will STIll be paying...either that or you will LOSE all the federal military money
all your national guard..will be paid by the state...not the federal government
all the military bases (32 of them), will no longer be federal...you will lose that money
all the defense contractors....you lose that to (55 billion worth)
the 28 national parks (which you receive federal monies for)...no longer federal...no longer getting federal money for
36 national natural landmarks (for which you receive federal money for upkeep)....you lose that too
145 national historic landmarks(for which you receive federal money for upkeep)....you lose that too
9 wild and scenic rivers...managed and paid by the national parks service.... you lose that too
not to mention all the 'other' federal agencies that have FEDERAL employees in California....200,000 FEDERAL employees (most making atleast 60k)... you lose all that FEDERAL incomes and revenue that the FEDERAL government GIVES your state...these employees SPEND money in your state
yeah...you go right ahead and continue to say how much better your guys will be as your own country....... there is an old saying...the grass is greener
Us liberals in these green states have every reason to want to form our own country but i'm fine staying in the great United States...
Who do you want to thank for this Trump victory? California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Maryland. who showed how really they aren't that progressive.
I can't think of a single thing California does for me. They have absolutely nothing I need.
