is not a written contract.......basically since Trump/Pence won their word is their bond....they offer tax incentives and make sure Carrier keeps their government contracts.........that's how a President must negotiate from the position of strength.
Obama could have done this and with other manufacturing companies that left during his 8 years and he didn't. Obama ran against NAFTA in 2007 and when he got to office he embraced NAFTA and wants to expand it with TPP.
I really don''t understand the Democrat plans.........they want to keep these bad trade deals , raise taxes and raise regulations and keep our open borders and expect wages for the middle class to go up?
Where are these *many* articles? Certainly, you could have found one of those *many* articles to support your claim instead of the one article you did provide that did not support your claim. I'm sure these *many* articles exist as do those *many* detailed explanations you've provided about how the government "prints trillions of dollars for Wall Street."

My guess is it was also the assurance of reduction of regulations that was the pot sweetener here as well. To my understanding that was a big point of contention when Pence got them to agree to keep 400 jobs back in the spring.
I voted for Bernie but I have to admit, since then he has dissapointed me far more than made me glad I voted for him. That said, nothing has changed to have made me wish I had voted for anyone other than possibly Vermin Supreme again.

Bernie has a point. Trump said he's going to make companies pay a tariff if they ship jobs overseas. Instead Trump hands out a tax cut for not moving, a profoundly stupid move. So now every company that wants a tax cut just has to threaten to move to Mexico.
We can see where this is headed -- Trump's going to hand out corporate welfare like candy and the taxpayers will be left holding the bag. No surprise Trump likes corporate welfare, he's make a living off it, and rarely pays taxes himself.
Trump promised to lower the corporate tax rates as part of his campaign. That is not welfare. Businesses should not be paying ANY tax. People pay taxes.
We are supposed to be living in a free enterprise economy.
If we do, why is the government involved in paying off companies to hire people?
Rant all you want about the cause or whose fault it was. The bottom line is, we are no different than the other systems deemed evil, like socialism, communism or whatever ism is on the chit list today.
