This has been predicted for decades with the opposite actually happening. Ocean view homes are not going down in prices.

Are you telling me the beachfront homes in California haven't seen their values plummet?

Ocean view home prices may not be declining, but some beachfront homes are, depending on how far they are above the high tide level.

Rising sea levels are changing the way people think about waterfront real estate. Though demand remains strong and developers continue to build near the water in many coastal cities, homeowners across the nation are slowly growing wary of buying property in areas most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/24/sc...al-estate.html

Most religions require some form of penance. Just as saying the Rosary or wearing a hair shirt is thought to be able to manipulate the "creator of all things", so can using a twisty-bulb or paying a tax manipulate planetary mechanisms. The individual is simultaneously made small by, and elevated to significance in the face of forces greater than himself. Many who eschew "conventional" religion will find an alternate belief or set of beliefs to serve the universal human need to deal with the fear of death; they convince themselves of a way to influence that which is beyond influence.

About 10 feet above sea level for $15 million.

We also want our neighbors to allow us to enjoy those things.

Republican politicians claim you can have all those things that cost a lot of government spending and still get a reduction in taxes.

Democrat politicians also want you to have all those things the govt. has to spend money on but you have to pay for them.

It cost money to cut down on air pollution, Democrats are willing to spend the money.
Republicans say there is no pollution so no need to spend any money.

I have yet to figure out how to get all the stuff I want if my income decreases. How does that work?
Republican's believe those things should be paid for through more efficiency, letting the free market do its thing as often as possible.
The government is horribly inefficient at spending money. The more money it gets, the more wasteful the spending. That's how you end up with multi billion dollar bullet trains that take you from nowhere to nowhere, and terrible roads and high gas taxes.

Yes.

What might have happened in the small window of a few years ago is an anomaly.

"Could swamp". Fake news. Prices are only going to continue to go up especially as long as we make money free and continue to subsidize Wall Street.

The Republicans were all for bailing out the banks and Wall Street.
