Well, if this was the US, and the suspected perps were white, that would already be headline news, even if it was just a rumor. In the US, if the suspected perp is black/brown/muslim, they would sit on it until they figure out how to spin it to support the OFFICIAL STORY.

I suspect the police want to get it exactly right. Everyone just keeps repeating the Reuters story now. Lots of boring Trump bashing on Twitter now since no one has anything new to talk about.
I guess the Canucks are not as meek as we thought.
I actually know a number of pro-Trump Canadians who are expats in China - a much larger number than you would think, considering they are expats.
One way or the other, regardless of whatever frustration and anger anyone has, resorting to terrorism and murdering people praying to their god isn't acceptable or commendable.

"It seemed to me that they had a Quebecois accent. They started to fire, and they they shot they yelled, 'Allahu akbar!' The bullets hit people that were praying. People who were praying lost their lives. A bullet passed right over my head," said the witness.
Ahh how awful! I'm glad they got the suspects so quick. Is there much anti Muslim sentiment in Quebec as a rule? I admit total ignorance to all things Canadian.

I can't access facebook at the moment but I can guarantee that a number of my friends will be sharing articles gleefully and scornfully blaming "white people" for this.
Or maybe some Canadian citizens beg to differ with Trudeau regarding whether refugees should be welcome there.
I hope a lot of the refugees don't go to Canada. That border fence would be much harder to build.
