You didn't expect to get a real answer from the cult did you? You get deflections, rationalizations and excuses.

I think the fact that everyone in the country and world will know what a crude cowardly lunatic he is and will never take him seriously is going to be great punishment.

And since he and his cult believe it is ok to recklessly accuse people of felonies, anyone and everyone should accuse Trump and his entire WH posse of felonies whenever they feel like it. He won't have a leg to stand on when he blows his top and threatens to sue. He is the 'sick' one and it is going to become more and more apparent. We will see irresponsible and irrational reactions every time something doesn't go Donny's way. A seventy-year-old guy with a god complex is not going to change.

I think the main thing the British shared with US Intelligence was the fact that Russian Intelligence were involved, as for the allegations regarding Trump in a Russian Hotel room they came via an Ex-MI6 Officer Christopher Steele rather than through Official Channels.
Makes sense. Almost certainly sharing. I've never been fond of conspiracy theories if only because they are too much hard work. So little of what is put into any one print/video source ever reflects the underlying reality. At a minimum, one needs to plow through every news outlet (blogs included), pick out the relevant pieces, cross check, then assemble into various configurations.

Much easier to wait for an item to be real enough that it hits all the major MSM headlines.

Could there be "something" there? Possibly, of unknown significance. Financial? Legal? Political? Embarrassment territory? Or worse? Who knows.

But it will never be "real" (or tree-in-forest heard) unless it is legally accessible. In the meantime, I tend to prefer Trump over Pence and prefer a stable or growing stock market.

Before getting on with the rest of the afternoon, back though to the gray area. Politicization. And messes, and ones NOT created by Trump. I pretty much accept that Obama tried to not politicize this into the election (minimal leaks). The timing simply isn't right for that scenario. Plus not to give Obama the gold star, he probably did expect Clinton to pull it out. So easy call.

Post-election may be a different story. Historically, the FBI and the CIA (and other intel agencies) have not communicated well. Then there is the Comey letter (which many Democrats including myself to have been more influential than the Russian hacks). One can't help but wonder whether the perceived misjudgments by the FBI - however they try to draw distinctions between how they treated Clinton but not Trump - might not move some fine lines in the IC.

Given the December EO (don't have the number handy) and the Dossier leaking, without argument the Obama administration appeared to be trying to prevent the Trump administration from burying material. The question is what? And whether it has any legal significance (as opposed to embarrassment territory).

To the extent that the information (Russian connections) is so low-value that this is nothing other then Democratic harassment, then Trump would do well to pull himself away from it. Put his people into the agencies. Deal with wrong-doings internally. Or let Congress respond. Surrogates. Not personally feed the fire.

Since this has turned into an argument for the virtue of lying, let's be clear there is lying to try not to get in trouble and there is lying to create a different reality interwoven with alternate facts.

Why should he? Why should he provide any more proof than the front page of the NYT? And don't waste my time with revisionist liberal bs telling me the NYT didn't really say what they said. Everyone knows what their intent was.

IMO the tweets had their intended effect. Flynn had been peeled away from him, Sessions was being worked over and Tillerson was being lined up with a big NEXT sign around his next. That's all over with. The tweets worked.

I think there are bigger issues at hand then a desperate move by Trumphole to divert attention away from his many illegal short comings.

Trump has already relegated Tillerson to a broom closet in a storage area of the State Dept and not because of anything some liberal democrat said or did. Tillerson was part of the Trump administration Russian interface team, along with Manafort, Flynn, Sessions, Carter Page, Michael Cohen, Lewandowski and those yet to be named. With the eyeballs on the Trump Russia connection, Tillerson is useless to Trump now and has not been a factor in any foreign policy decisions or meetings.

There are plenty of examples where Chump has done this kind of thing in the past. It's called talking Trash or Talking Junk. We NYers are experts at it. Trump used this brand of half mobster slang and junk talking to lob all kinds of Insults and trash at his opponents. His base licked their chops. Birthed stuff. Thousands of Arabs cheering in NY after 911. Crowd size. Cruz dad killed Kennedy. Just non stop BS. Now that he is prez it hasn't changed . It's just a matter of time before a large segment of our population gets sick of it.

Yeah yeah, I read the NYT article too, and I understand exactly what those weasels are trying to do. It was a front page hit piece, pure and simple, just like their January front-page hit piece putting Trump and wiretapping in the same headline.

And you folks bought it hook, line and sinker.

Maybe because he lobbied an accusation against a former President of the United States. Different stuff than the subsequent tweet about The Apprentice. No one asking Trump to provide proof of TV ratings. And to think that former Administrations used to worry about things like comma placement. Silly them.
