I think the fact that everyone in the country and world will know what a crude cowardly lunatic he is and will never take him seriously is going to be great punishment.
And since he and his cult believe it is ok to recklessly accuse people of felonies, anyone and everyone should accuse Trump and his entire WH posse of felonies whenever they feel like it. He won't have a leg to stand on when he blows his top and threatens to sue. He is the 'sick' one and it is going to become more and more apparent. We will see irresponsible and irrational reactions every time something doesn't go Donny's way. A seventy-year-old guy with a god complex is not going to change.
If Obama wants to sue for libel he can and I support his right to do so.

Obama had Fast and Furious where ~2,000 assault guns were allowed on purpose to be handed over to violent Drug Cartels...and Obama's Drug Cartel weapons have seen 300+ Mexicans KILLED and COUNTING and a few Americans shot...quite tragic.
Obama then LIED by claiming that it was Bush's program.
Obama's program literally killed hundreds and he lied about it...
Democrats at the time made excuses and downplayed Obama's lie and the hundreds of deaths. Is that a "cult" - what was your opinion of a punishment for Obama for lying about Bush?

I think you are right ! McCain has probably been waiting for just the right moment to pay The Donald back. As stupid as Trump is, it wouldn't be long before he screwed up and gave John the perfect reason to call him out.
Trump has pulled some boneheaded tricks in the past, but this latest Tweet fiasco is going to bite him where the sun don't shine. He really didn't think this one through very well, did he ?
I agree wholeheartedly with McCain on this. Trump either has to poop or get off the pot. If you don't have the evidence, then publicly retract these accusations. Yes, you're gonna lose face for having to do so, but it's a lesson learned for shooting off your mouth without knowing what you're talking about.
And if he doesn't retract the statement, Obama's attorneys should threaten him with a lawsuit.
This is probably about the only time I agree with one of your posts. I'm no Obama fan but you can't go around disparaging a former president with so far unsubstantiated accusations, specially one on this level.
NONE of which makes Obama guilty of ordering wiretaps in Trump Tower as alleged. What specific (yes, I know Trump and his faithful hate that word) evidence do you have?

Mr. Burdell, do you not watch/read any news at all? Seriously. How can you ask, "What specific evidence do you have" when the evidence has been presented literally everywhere (except on MSNBC, CNN, et al, I suppose).
A perfectly common sense and reasonable statement. Make an accusation, back it up.
Why are his supporters so adverse to this?
Well, we know why, because deep down even they know he is a pathological liar and the odds are there is no evidence because it's untrue. Because really, if they thought Trump was telling the truth they would be right at the front of the line, salivating to see the proof that would bring down Obama.
The fact that they're not interested in seeing the evidence of such a mind blowing accusation tells us even they don't believe the so-called president. There can be no other explanation.
