So Manafort worked for a Russian Oligarch to assist the Putin government and gain personal favor and was paid $10,000,000 for his trouble. Therefore both he and Trump LIED about Manafort having no ties to the Russian government.

He was paid $10M to peddle influence, he must be a very talented. Then there is the money received back in 2014 from the Russian government for his work in Ukraine. Doesn't the trump team ask any questions, wouldn't that raise some eyebrows.

Surely Trump knew. Several of his top people had ties to Russia. The team was likely picked BECAUSE of their ties to Russa. And Trump himself always sides with Putin over the USA. Remember when someone told Trump that Putin has people killed? Trump defended Putin and then threw the US under the bus, blaming the US for killing people. Too much smoke for there not to be a fire.
