What I got from that article is that Manfort is slime, and was working with Russians against interest in Europe. How does this mean anything for Trump? I'm serious. Since Manafort said he wasn't working with them - initially - how do you make the claim that Trump knew he was? Once it came to light that Manafort was lying, Trump asked for his resignation.

I'm not trying to make Trump excuses, so if anyone could respond without the partisan nonsense, that would be appreciated.

These people won't admit that Trump fired Manafort because of this. It sounds better if he is linked with Trump to the Russians.

Exactly. But they like their narrative better than the truth.

Manafort resigned. Trump didn't fire him. The only reason he resigned was that the media got ahold of Manaforts dealings. Trump knew about them all along and was glad to have him on the team.

Same issue with Micheal Flynn. Trump knew that Flynn lied to Pence for 2 weeks. 2 weeks later when the press publishes the story, then suddenly Trump cares about the lie to Pence. But he was ok with it before the press wrote about the sitiation.

They are happy being crooks and only clean house when caught.

Manafort was wired millions of dollars to the work, which later became the subject of a lawsuit in the Cayman Islands.

Previously the Trump administration and Manafort denied he had any links to Russia. This new report disputes that.

Now we have a link between Trump and Putin's inner circle, with Manafort as the middle man. Manafort was campaign manager around the time Russia hacked the DNC. Roger Stone admitted he had a back door line of communication with WikiLeaks. The pieces are coming together.

The walls are closing in on Dirty Donny and I don't think Manafort,Flynn,Page or Stone will take a bullet for him. Orange jump suit here we come!

No, it's possible one, or many of the scenarios the Russians wanted came to pass.

Flood the hacked information out there to hurt Clinton's chances.

If she wins, she is weighed down by the bad press and accusations revelaed.

If Trump wins, they get the candidate they want in the White House, who mysteriously requested a softened stance on the US policies towards Russia.

Since the Russians did little to hide their tracks according to Comey, they really didn't care if their efforts became known. Either way, they can show how they affected the electoral process of the mighty US.

Either way, either the POTUS is weighed down with accusations. Both political parties are mired in scandal and the US and looses credibility in the world.

No matter what the outcome, for the price of a few hackers, the Russians put the government of the US in disarray and on the defensive.

It's a cyber war and we were hit hard.

No question Putin has dirt on Republicans that he can release whenever he wants.

Shouldn't all good Americans be opposed to Russia attacking us and government employees working with the Kremlin? Reagan would be rolling in his grave over the Republican love of Putin now.
30 years of being told there is nothing more evil than a liberal will have that effect.

Devin Nunes says "there's no there, there" and the FBI obviously disagrees if it announces to the world that the Trump administration is under investigation. Members of Congress are not granted unfettered access to FBI investigative files. I'm not sure why Nunes hasn't recused himself seeing that he was a member of the Trump transition team.

Yes, we do not know what has transpired since January 20th. Newsweek reported back in February that intelligence agencies of U.S. allies had intercepted communications between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Quote:
The sources said the interceptions include at least one contact between former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and a Russian official based in the United States. It could not be confirmed whether this involved the telephone call with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that has led to Flynn’s resignation, or additional communications. The sources said the intercepted communications are not just limited to telephone calls: The foreign agency is also gathering electronic and human source information on Trump’s overseas business partners, at least some of whom the intelligence services now consider to be agents of their respective governments. These operations are being conducted out of concerns that Russia is seeking to manipulate its relationships with Trump administration officials as part of a long-term plan to destabilize the NATO alliance.
U.S. Allies Conduct Intelligence Operation Against Trump Staff and Associates, Intercepted Communications

According to John Schindler, who is ex-NSA, foreign intelligence agencies have handed over transcripts proving collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. But we have no way of knowing whether he's actually right until the investigation is complete.

The humiliation is on the hands of people who voted for this clown and went around repeating catch phrases like "lock her up" thinking there was somehow some legitimacy to all these accusations that she was the devil.
