Agreed! SNL's fortunes are tied to the baby boomers. Millenials and those younger digest entertainment and information in totally different way and from totally different perspectives. Once the majority of baby boomers are dead, SNL dies, cable TV ties, network TV dies and ESPN dies. What happens to NYC when one of their two primary economic engines dies? NYC is primarily supported by Wall Street and mainstream media.

Yes, yes - we get it.

So - the narrative is that calling dumb hicks out for being dumb hicks hurts their feelings, and that makes them double down and commit further acts of dumbhickery?

Not that I'm necessarily agreeing with the reasoning, but if dumb hicks are willing to f.ck over the nation just to show that they're angry about being called dumb hicks, that sorta makes them - well, dumb hicks - doesn't it?

JFK, FDR, and even Washington had richer (adjusted for inflation) cabinets. I've never seen Democrats blast their rich cabinets.

Perhaps stick to experience and issues than wealth.

Making fun of all the "hicks' who voted for Trump. LOL, keep it up and see more Dems lose in the next election. They don't have a clue on why they lost.

thanks, hadn't seen that yet

if they were making fun of hicks (not sure they really are), and the hicks didn't know they were being made fun of, would it really matter anyways?

...such tender buttercups it seems.

Hmm, I don't think so.

They haven't cared about SNL since the days of Gilda Radner, John Belushi, and Chevy Chase. e.g. Back in the say when it was actually funny and socially relevant.

Today it's about making "snowflakes" think they are actually important.

wait.. so there were fewer dumb people in 1992-2000, and again in 2009-2016, but more dumb people than educated people from 2001-2008, and in 2017?

The thing about that skit was how eerily truthful it was. This wasn't even really comedy, it was closer to reality. The only comedy in the entire segment was the portrayal of Trump by Baldwin. The portrayal of the voters was actually spot on.
