Yes, I really needed to ask that.

Your assertion is that a baseball cap is the same as a hijab, correct?

Or that a piece of chain is the same as a cross necklace, yes?

This idiotic and hypocritical line of "thinking".

Which do you believe to be better?
Being more like Yemen?
Bring less like Yemen?

Bull****

Where is the "Thou shalt not bake a cake for those who commit homosexual acts" commandment?

lmao...As usual, Lefties going to bat for Islam. You will NEVER see them do this for any other religion since they are so anti-religion in the first place.

As usual, complete and utter bull****.

Who's going to bat for Islam?
Religion is stupid. The world would be better off without it.

Teachers should not be allowed to rip clothing off of students, religious or otherwise.

A hijab is not worn until puberty or maybe as soon as or just prior to a child's being subject to sexual objectification by male members of their community. She's 8 so considering that culture I'll give them the benefit of doubt. But even given the family's devoutness I'll bet the decision to scarf the kid is a bit more precocious than the child.

Devoutness intact, Oghenetega could be honor kilt for disrespecting, or the child for mouthing off at Oghenetega (tho Oghenetega's beliefs are not disclosed in the article). Hope I'm invited to their next pool party to see how this all shakes out.

And know that the "baker's exception" is not just aiming for gay weddings. Next we'll see a Christian restauranteur who won't let women with a hijab sit at a lunch counter, and a Christian doctor who won't provide care for a gay couple's child. The wedding services are argument: the goal is license to discriminate at law.

There is no rule that people can't wear things that adhere to their religious beliefs. Separation of church and state has to do with the government not respecting the establishment of religion, so in the case of public schools, school administration cannot be overtly religious in any action or requirement. However, that does NOT apply to personal expression, such as a student wearing a crucifix or reading from a Koran during free time. Nor should it apply to the hijab.
