Good. The substitute teacher was way out of line. He shouldn't be touching her in that manner at all.

Hijab is a head scarf. Are you confusing it with a burqua?

Students who conceal weapons and/ or contraband do so in their pants, pockets or backpack.

That staid 8 year old is Muslim does not mean she is more likely to be carrying a weapon or contraband than a non- Muslim.

WTF is going on in my country?
WTF is going on in my country where people think tearing a hijab off a Muslim girl's head even remotely comparable to tearing the skirt off a Catholic girl?

Your country is in the infancy of being overran by a religion... and all the while you complain about keeping religion out of your life and government. Yet nobody on the left seems to see the irony. No surprise, really. The left is the Party of Hypocrisy. Why is it that most progressives have absolutely ZERO respect for religion... save one?

Perhaps we should go back to all the little kiddies wearing cute little uniforms with NO EXCEPTIONS.

Still doing your best to remove any doubt about how ignorant and bigoted liberals are - good job!

How many teachers have been suspended for popping off a kid's ballcap ? My guess is zero.

It's not religious discrimination since the school policy does not make any specific claims about any religion. It says their is a dress code that can be altered IF ones religion requires as much (that's not just Muslims; Jews too... why do you only focus on Muslims, I ask sarcastically as I'd have to be actually stupid to not know that answer).

The law, clearly, I hope, shouldn't let the rapist off and force marriage upon the victim.

So, the idea of religious freedom is bull****. Religious freedom doesn't supersede US law.

If a law can be ignored for religious reasons, it's probably not a law worth enforcing for anyone.

2) Teachers tearing the clothing off of students is unacceptable.
No one thinks religious freedom works like that. When a law or some sort of rule is made that contradicts a religious belief, the secular law ALWAYS comes first. Many religious texts say there are times when killing religious minorities is acceptable, but US law does not recognize it.

Exceptions can be made per law. Dress codes, for example, may be amended because ultimately, no one is hurt if your religion asks you to wear a headscarf or a turban or whatever. It's law by law (or rule by rule). This is why we have courts after all; to decide what is most appropriate.

Why is it any different? Both are physically assaulting a child for essentially no reason that could ever possibly be justified. Aside from where the clothing came from, I'm not seeing that dramatic of a difference either way.
