If you're a Republican, do you agree with anything that the Democratic platform believes in?

The problem with the party system is people become beholden to their party and they feel like they're betraying either themselves or the group by not agreeing to everything the party endorses. In return, you get people, on both sides, supporting nonsense, even if there's undeniable evidence.
Since there's a deep divide in politics in 2017, can we come to any sort of compromise?
Curbs on affirmative action.
Better vetting of foreign nationals.
Here is my view on certain issues: I lean to the right for sure. I am pro life, but see reasons for abortions in rare cases: I believe 100% in equal opportunity, I don't believe in giving any preference to any race of group: I believe in gay rights, but don't like to see gay or any group flaunt their beliefs. I believe in a balanced budget as much as possible. Drugs, certainly pot should be legalized. Let people decide for themselves what bad habits they want to take part in. Lord know I drink enough wine for 3 of us. I do not do any illegal drugs and never would. Keep us out of unnecessary involvement in other countries affairs. control the borders, but have a work program. I have no problem with government assistance for those who truly need help, but 50% or those getting assistance should get off their butts and take care of themselves and their families.
Last but not least, I support the police 100% and i am in favor of the second amendment even though I do not and will never own a gun.
I lean to the left, but I can agree with most of the above.
Generally speaking, I can agree with fiscal responsibility. I don't hold the "let's private as much as possible" view in the slightest, but I do think what we spend should be at least in line with what we get. For example, we spend more on healthcare than any other western democracy, yet we get the least for it. While I come to a very different conclusion than the fiscal conservatives do, I'm still enraged by how ridiculous not cost effective we're being on so many things.
I also tend to support gun rights, states rights, and free speech. While I don't think the latter is actually a terribly partisan issue, it does seem that more Democrats are willing to buy into things like "free speech zones" and such. I find these notions absurd. Public space should be a place that always allows for open debate.
Im a republican but I'm pro choice, support gay marriage, for the legalization of marijuana, and liberal on most other social issues. I don't care one way or the other about guns.
The lawyers on Capitol Hill in both parties are do-nothing jackasses who like hearings over actual action for the American people's issues because it fits their lawyer personas: talk a lot, criticize, do nothing.
