Obama signed the treaty so right there it tells you the whole thing was crap. It was a slush fund that cost US taxpayers billions for pet projects of other nations. Like Iran, Obama never did a thing that benefited this country.
Further, even without this crap treaty the US still has the highest pollution standards in the world. As they typically do, the liberals have their hair on fire over nothing. This treaty will be renegotiated in a way that is favorable to the US, something Obama never cared about.

The USA is pursuing alternate enrgy sources as well as using available resources, love the phase, Trump was elected by Pittsburg and not Paris.
The Paris accord does absolutely nothing to halt human caused global warming, the end point is predicted to be a small percent of 1 degree over the next 100 years. A goal that does nothing to halt global warming.

China is canceling plans to build more than 100 coal-fired power plants, seeking to rein in runaway, wasteful investment in the sector while moving the country away from one of the dirtiest forms of electricity generation, the government announced in a directive made public this week.
The announcement, made by China’s National Energy Administration, cancels 103 projects that were planned or under construction, eliminating 120 gigawatts of future coal-fired capacity. That includes dozens of projects in 13 provinces, mostly in China’s coal-rich north and west, on which construction had already begun. Those projects alone would have had a combined output of 54 gigawatts, more than the entire coal-fired capacity of Germany, according to figures compiled by Greenpeace.

I am not sure about the actual data. Scott Prutin guy in today speech constantly mentioned about US improving its emissions for past few years. CA already has very high standards with emissions. May be, more states should take initiative and start implementing their own standards.
The opinions from the contributors to this topic are worthless. The policy and direction of this country is determined by the 1% and their interest is strictly the bottom line of the corporations and industry they control.
