The U.S. has the highest pollution standards? where's your citation for that?

He's dead set to undo every policy initiated under President Obama, no matter how disastrous and nonsensical.

AMERICA, "It's Over" !!!!!!!!!!!!! The Once Great Nation.... is no more...

Republicans, pat your dumb arse self on the back... you almost took down the country in 2007, and Dumb Republican constituency allowed you to come back in less than a Decade and Finish the job..

There has never been nor will there ever be anything dumber than The Make Up of what is a Republican to ever touch foot on soil in America. The vile of the past... has been a carry over for 100's of years, and what we have is still a nation of bottom feeding masses of "some" ignorant white people still lusting after a fake illusion based on their skin.
I think you should leave STAT. Take as many liberals as possible with you on your way out, please.

So how did trump pulling out of this agreement end the world?

what specific actions are now halted?

is the USA going to somehow halt the global effort by china and India, etc, to save the world by reducing pollution by a small per cent of 1 degree by the end of the century?

The USA is pursuing alternate enrgy sources as well as using available resources, love the phase, Trump was elected by Pittsburg and not Paris.

The Paris accord does absolutely nothing to halt human caused global warming, the end point is predicted to be a small percent of 1 degree over the next 100 years. A goal that does nothing to halt global warming.

So how did trump destroy the world?

You keep flogging this point and it's misleading. Here is where China is headed.
Also Russia just announced that it will live up to the Paris accords.

China is canceling plans to build more than 100 coal-fired power plants, seeking to rein in runaway, wasteful investment in the sector while moving the country away from one of the dirtiest forms of electricity generation, the government announced in a directive made public this week.

The announcement, made by China’s National Energy Administration, cancels 103 projects that were planned or under construction, eliminating 120 gigawatts of future coal-fired capacity. That includes dozens of projects in 13 provinces, mostly in China’s coal-rich north and west, on which construction had already begun. Those projects alone would have had a combined output of 54 gigawatts, more than the entire coal-fired capacity of Germany, according to figures compiled by Greenpeace.

I am not sure about the actual data. Scott Prutin guy in today speech constantly mentioned about US improving its emissions for past few years. CA already has very high standards with emissions. May be, more states should take initiative and start implementing their own standards.

From our perspective it is.

Of course, clean water and clean air are environmental protection, as are toxin free landscapes.

If global warming makes these places less inhabitable, then it is an aspect of our environment, even if it becomes the 'new normal'.

The opinions from the contributors to this topic are worthless. The policy and direction of this country is determined by the 1% and their interest is strictly the bottom line of the corporations and industry they control. All the ranting and raving on this and other forums doesn't make a whit of difference. Instead of ranting at each other, you should be voicing your opinions to the people who are shaping the quality and direction of your lives!
