A real man thrives on competition, has fears, but he isn’t ruled by them. He learns from his mistakes.
A real man is the Gladiator and appreciates the greatness that is ‘The Gladiator’. He finds someone special, he doesn’t treat her like she’s everyone else. Most of all treats all women with respect when they are respected as a man.
A real man can laugh at himself and weep at sorrow. He has faults and is not perfect.
You can depend on a real man. You can’t depend on a boy.
A real man doesn’t need to be able to fight or to protect himself and his family physically. But it helps.
A real man do whatever it takes to keep his family safe and happy. He lives for something; a purpose beyond his own personal gains.
When real men are tired, discouraged and you think they are about to give up, they achieve great things.
A real man doesn’t stand still while the world passes him by, he continually pushes himself.
A real man leads the way and a listener to find the way.
How did I do?
This sounds like one of those knock-off cards you'd get at the Dollar Store. Some guy dressed up as a "gladiator" on the cover and inside it says, "You can't depend on a boy! Weep at sorrow. You have faults!"
What are the salient points that you would like to discuss that you see in this video?
Why, any of the cogent points which Dr. Paglia raised would be fine.
The nature of the profound dissatisfaction and unhappiness which many women experience when they successfully invade male fields, fail to achieve fulfillment, and are left bleating about misogyny, for example -- e.g., Mrs. Clinton...
I'm curious to hear what the feminists of this thread think of women like Christina Hoff Sommers, Karen Straughan, Janice Fiamengo, etc. Are they traitors to women? Do their views have some merit?
I do not believe that feminism needs to be rolled back. But there is a difference between asking for better reproductive rights and blaming all of society's ills on men.

What on earth makes you think that we fail to achieve fulfillment when we successfully "invade" (as if they were sacrosanct territories) "male" fields?
Oh, and please point out precisely what makes a career field "male"?

Well if a field involves a need to have an intense amount of upper body strength, it would probably be more geared towards men, since men biologically have more upper body strength than women. Intellectually, however, I believe both men and women can perform the same work.
Well, when the Cotholics and Southern Baptist let women preach, will the invasion be complete? They still say women can teach but not preach. Women are unfit to serve G-d as priest.

I merely presented Dr. Paglia's analysis. I suggest you review her talk. And add this to your homework:

Yup.
Never understood these hang-ups; homosexuals insisting on "church marriage" and women demanding to be priests.
The fact that this is considered unusually generous and lucky by American standards is pretty sad, when considering that 6+ months of paid parental leave is the law in almost every other country other than Papua New Guinea.
Agreed!
