We can if we focus on sustainable energy.

If we focus on developing and manufacturing top-quality wind, wave, and solar energy systems, the U.S. could rock the energy market future.

There is an incredible market for sustainable energy right now. Lot of nations have made energy independence a goal and some are getting darn close.

Nuclear energy is a suicide note to ourselves. Nuclear waste material is stacking up in steel casks all around the country, much of it perilously close to major waterways. It's a disaster waiting to happen. There simply is no reason to create any more.

Coal is the past. Not even China wants to use coal any more. Everyone is trying to get away from coal. What reason is there to believe that coal energy is the future?

Middle East has got the oil. They can keep it. We need to be energy independent.

Manufacturing what everyone in the world wants is not a bad position to be in either.

That's the true nationalism.

yes- there was a time when the US lead through innovation; however those days seem to be dead or dying. Instead the new reality is to placate the mouth breathers by turning back to relics from the past and gaining the last puffs from dying/outdated methods/industries. It's amazing how quickly we as a nation turned away from what truly made us great and ceded the role to other nations, ironically under the guise of "Greatness."

It pays to check your facts before posting.
And China has the worst air pollution in the world.

So much for wind power and electric cars.

But Trump doesn't want to promote any of that right?

That's interesting! The USA is increasingly dependent on Canada for electricity. I wonder how much of that is related to hydro energy.
