Every legal precedent--and common sense--completely disagrees with you.

Info from foreign sources? Nope.

Words are not currency.

You suggesting blackmail? Really?
You going to throw someone in jail for listening to another person talk?
You are a Communist and don't know it.
Sorry--I didn't know this was a joke. And those are not "key words."

I thought you were serious.

Blackmail? Communist. Please stop listening to Alex Jones.

nope- nothing matters to him and his kind other than "winning". They are left behind in the 21 century world and their Daddy Trump has given them a few puffs of pride as they fade into obsolescence. All that matters is beating the "Libs" whom they blame for their problems b/c nothing could ever be their fault. The funniest part is they actually think Trump cares about them.

No. That's only true for someone without an iota of character.

but, but your honor, my defense is: "all's fair in love in war". This is the mind one deals with arguing with a Trumpeter.

Here's the thing, even at the bare minimum, if you're only trying to destroy political opponents using dirty tactics, your loyalty is still not to your country. It's to your political party, because it comes down to you not being interested in promoting a fair democratic system that pushes the best candidates. Whether you like liberals is irrelevant. I don't want liberal candidates doing this either, and I would be far less likely to support them if I knew they did. Of course, this clearly goes farther than mere opposition research, no matter what lies you have to tell yourself. You're not just excusing normal politics. You're excusing the end of sovereign American democracy.

And if a Republican had a chance to get a BJ in the Oval Office they would have jumped at that too. The only difference is that the Republican would have gotten the BJ from a male page instead of Monica.

In both cases, the act itself may not have been illegal, but the cover-up led to obstruction. If this is your position, you need to apply the standard consistently.

Get this... It is not a crime, or uncommon to dig dirt on your political opponents.
It is very uncommon to team up with our enemies to do it.

Words are information, and information has value. The law against campaigns accepting anything of value from foreigners has already been posted.

Yes, words are currency.
