Trump had nothing to do with it....he can't sign a bill that hasn't passed...geez, did you guys have Civics in elementary school....I don't think so.
The Republicans have played this perfectly from a political perspective. They shouldn't make the same horrible mistake the Dims made by passing a bill affecting everyone without getting any support from the other party. They need to let Obamacare fail as it's on track to do and then work with Dims to fix it.
Obama and the democrats had a crack at it and came up with Obamacare after lying to the public. Premiums and healthcare costs went up to the working class and small businesses.
But now is Trump's fault? LOL......and who reads Vox?

Right. Because it's a huge success to not be able to pass something they swore they'd do ASAP, after seven years of having their previous repeal bills vetoed (IIRC, 170-some times). And that Trump promised he'd do on Day 1.
Oh yeah, they're right where they always planned on being.
Trump can’t make a health care deal because he doesn’t understand health care.
There shouldn't even be an idiotic argument on the subject but there is and it should include all politicians.
What are politicians good at. Running campaigns and getting elected. They're not experts on healthcare.
They spend more time begging donors for money than the do working on legislation. They rely on lobbyist, with check in hand, to write the legislation. That frees them up to become the salesman for the donors and that is working in their lane of expertise. If anyone, ever thinks, politicians/marketing pro's are ever going to offer something that works in the interest of the people, they would have to find independent people that actually know what the solutions are who are interdependent of lobbyist or business interest. WTFU
There are lots of experts on healthcare, but what they generally tell you is stuff that you ignore. You don't like the "Fake News", right?
Obama demonstrated a much stronger understanding of healthcare than Trump did. Obama's plan wasn't without flaws, but it actually had a lot of rational sense to it.
But Senators receive the best healthcare they want, not just under the ACA. They aren't going to the local hospital where the rest of the people go to and then get inline, nor do they have any reason to because they too can afford the most expensive healthcare insurance. On the same token, you aren't going to see Trump, nor Obama, nor Buffet, nor Bill Gates, and so on...at the local hospital the masses go to.
So, they're buying a policy through the ACA exchanges, AND ALSO buying "...the most expensive healthcare insurance"? Got any evidence for that statement?
It's true, though, that hospitals differ by location. I live very near a world-class city, so I have access to world-quality care. And I'm not butt-hurt that people like Bill Gates get the three-room private suites, while I have to share a room. That would be the case whatever my insurance is. I'm sorry you're mad about that. I guess you need to win the lottery or something.
Anyone who takes a few minutes to listen to what Trump has said about health care policy will see that Trump never had a clue about health care. All that the idiot Trump knew was that it was known as Obamacare and he wanted to undo it for that reason and that reason alone. If that meant 24 million uninsured and tens of thousands of premature deaths and countless patients filing for bankruptcy for medical bills, well, who cares, because he had to fulfill his bloated and nauseating ego.
I assume Trump has been in excellent health all his life. When your life has been blessed in such a fine way, you're not going to understand the point of having a good health plan, either at the state or federal level.

Political lies are told all the time...I never believed half of what Trump said because I knew it was said for votes but I voted for him because he's going to fix some things that need to get fixed.
Anyone with a brain realizes the political risks of health care laws. Politically speaking, Repubs should let Obamacare fail and then pass something that doesn't take effect until after the 2018 campaign....believe me, the Repubs played it right politically.
