Anyone who takes a few minutes to listen to what Trump has said about health care policy will see that Trump never had a clue about health care. All that the idiot Trump knew was that it was known as Obamacare and he wanted to undo it for that reason and that reason alone. If that meant 24 million uninsured and tens of thousands of premature deaths and countless patients filing for bankruptcy for medical bills, well, who cares, because he had to fulfill his bloated and nauseating ego.
He wasn't their boy when he won the primary, and they still don't like him. I suspect many are angry that a middle of the road Republican isn't in the White House now.
You are understating the case quite a bit. Trump has few real allies in Congress. That's because he ran against them, including the Rs, as much as he ran against Clinton (and Obama).
They are putting on a game face because he is a president with an R after his name. OTOH, his approval ratings are pretty low. If an R congress critter is from a state where his winning margin was low - well, they're just not going to be that deferential to him.

I don't doubt that many in the R party dislike Trump. Some might even want him out. I just don't buy this failure to push through HC legislation as a method for outing Trump. You don't utilize a technique that you makes you look equally bad (if not worse)...that doesn't make much sense.
Well, no ****!... I think it should be evident by now that Trump spouts bombastic claims without the slightest shred of subject matter knowledge or realism.
It should not matter if he is a millionaire or not. What should matter to every one of us is the following: the simple fact that members of Congress aren't included in whichever healthcare plan they choose for the people-means that they are well above the people they serve. Do you really think that members of Congress and other government officials in high governmental positions are going to the same hospitals we go to? Do you really believe that these people have Obamacare right now?
The rich can afford the best healthcare they want, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Why should they listen to Trump?
He's a con man who doesn't know anything and doesn't care to know anything. He can't drive a policy agenda because he has no idea what he's talking about and doesn't actually stand for anything.
On top of that, he's deeply unpopular, so Republicans in congress see no reason to work with him.

Under the ACA, senators and reps and some of their staff are required to buy their insurance on the ACA exchanges. That was an amendment that Grassley proposed, and it was included in the bill as passed. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...acare/2883635/
However, the Senate Trumpcare bill removes that requirement, and I believe the House Trumpcare bill did as well. So they would go back to being covered under the federal employee health care plans.
Trump can’t make a health care deal because he doesn’t understand health care.
There shouldn't even be an idiotic argument on the subject but there is and it should include all politicians.
What are politicians good at. Running campaigns and getting elected. They're not experts on healthcare.
They spend more time begging donors for money than the do working on legislation. They rely on lobbyist, with check in hand, to write the legislation. That frees them up to become the salesman for the donors and that is working in their lane of expertise. If anyone, ever thinks, politicians/marketing pro's are ever going to offer something that works in the interest of the people, they would have to find independent people that actually know what the solutions are who are interdependent of lobbyist or business interest. WTFU

But Senators receive the best healthcare they want, not just under the ACA. They aren't going to the local hospital where the rest of the people go to and then get inline, nor do they have any reason to because they too can afford the most expensive healthcare insurance. On the same token, you aren't going to see Trump, nor Obama, nor Buffet, nor Bill Gates, and so on...at the local hospital the masses go to.
