So no one can ever lose? That automatically makes them a failure?
You know what, Clemson lost a football game last year. They still won the the National championship. Do we hold that one loss over them, or do we celebrate their overall accomplishment?
What about the statistics that show in Chicago, for example, murder rates of about 3x for black assailants vs. all other races and the police combined. And most of those victims are black. Is this due to mistreatment by the police?
No, but that in no way excuses the mistreatment by the police.

Relevance to police biases is...what?
You're welcome to take that to another thread discussing that.
I did read the article but all he talks about is "oppression".
Blacks might be oppressed by gangs, poverty, drugs, violence, poor education, the inner city, etc. but they aren't oppressed by the US, which still provides people of every race the best opportunity for success of any country in the world.

is forced to APOLOGIZE for standing at attention with hand over heart while the National Anthem is played.
All in the name of "Team Unity" to Dis-Respect the American Flag and American Anthem.

I'm not claiming it is a super cohesive argument or that he is making very clear and specific claims. But if you parse his words and understand the context in which they were made, it is not that hard to understand the motivation. It's really not that confusing. To me, at least.
Regarding the article, I'm not sure if you posted that to agree or disagree with me?

In 2015, The Washington Post launched a real-time database to track fatal police shootings, and the project continues this year. As of Sunday, 1,502 people have been shot and killed by on-duty police officers since Jan. 1, 2015. Of them, 732 were white, and 381 were black (and 382 were of another or unknown race).

But data scientists and policing experts often note, comparing how many or how often white people are killed by police to how many or how often black people are killed by the police is statistically dubious unless you first adjust for population.

He should have had as much right to express himself as anyone. I understand "team" but this is bigger than football. I support the protests but he should have also been freely permitted to do as he pleased.

Big picture...big picture.
