Could you really misunderstand that badly? People aren't going to stop supporting the NFL just to please Trump. It runs much deeper than that. They'll stop because the players have ruined the illusion. It is impossible now for many to see them as admirable figures, or even cheer for them at all. They've gone from heroes to a-holes in the eyes of a large segment of their fan base.
I agree. Their protests have nothing to do with the flag or the military ... What's offensive is the that the black players are anti-law enforcement and anti-white. (They're also anti-Trump, but that doesn't bother me as much as the other two).
They should put more energy into convincing their own people to stop killing at such a high rate. It's not the cops or white Conservatives black people need to be fearful of ...
You mean an employer should take away it's employee's ability to make money at a part time job because of another company's employee participated in a peaceful protest? So how far does it go? Sounds legit punish your folks for the actions of others
Many employers have a clause curtailing an employee's actions based on "conflict of interest". Or they will have non-compete clauses. Seems like something like that could apply.
Let's see...Hurricanes destroying buildings and territories of the US, leaving many without power, food
or shelter...being fatal to some Americans...
Earthquakes destroying buildings and huge parts of cities, and bringing on Tsunami's...A Maniac in Korea
armed with Nuclear Weapons who keeps threatening us with Nuclear Destruction...War...children starving....Disease...flooding...Wildfires....
Football players kneeling...way down on the list of the things that matter the most.

Well conflict of interest doesn't really apply and the noncompete wouldn't either, this is about feelings. Burning the flag is entirely legal just as a peaceful protest is as well
Is it the iconography of the flag on clothing that is the problem or when the flag is used itself for other use?
Do's and Don'ts with our Flag:
Don’t dip the U.S. Flag for any person, flag, or vessel.
Don’t let the flag touch the ground.
Don’t fly flag upside down unless there is an emergency.
Don’t carry the flag flat, or carry things in it.
Don’t use the flag as clothing.
Don’t store the flag where it can get dirty.
Don’t use it as a cover.
Don’t fasten it or tie it back. Always allow it to fall free.
Don’t draw on, or otherwise mark the flag.
Don’t use the flag for decoration. Use bunting with the blue on top, then white, then red.
What the players are doing has nothing to do with the flag, either ... people need to get off that nonsense.
I can agree with that
