I own several. Some are for target shooting, some are for hunting, and some are for personal defense of myself and my family. I've gone through an extensive background check to purchase each one, and also to obtain a carry permit in my state.
Smart man doesn't go around telling strangers what and how many guns they have.

These posts are a tad sexist.
Not only men have or enjoy guns. I have more than I can count on one hand and my dear husband has his own. They are for protection, recreation, and hunting.
I don't. I just don't need one is all. I don't feel any sense of danger in my day to day life. Perhaps I'd feel differently if I was the victim of a crime. Although I did work in a store one time where a guy came in with a gun and took cash. Other than that I haven't had any altercations. And I'm nearing my mid 40s so I think I'm doing something right.
But if others want to carry and it gives them the feeling of safety they need, I'm fine with that. Sometimes I see somebody open carrying and I do keep an eye on them until either one of us leaves the area. That's just my survival extinct though, I don't care what the statistics say.

Oh and I can carry in all 50 states
Are you a LEO, or former LEO? My state carry permit only has reciprocity in about half the states. I would be a criminal in the communist states.
Technically yes. We have a shotgun that lives in a closet that my husband brought to the marriage for sentimental reasons. However, we don't believe it actually works (although it might).
Having guns in the house makes me uncomfortable but I am OK with those those who want them at home for protection provided they are properly secured. Around here it unfortunately seems that there are a lot of accidents from guns kept for protection (e.g. a kid shooting another kid).
