LOL, I don't watch either left or right. Funny thing, there's this thing called the internet and my knowledge of history. I took interest in history when my uncles served in WWII, one a navigator, the other seeing battle in the South Pacific, one bringing a war bride (aunt Pearl) home from the UK and by reading I don't need to be told what to think, thank you . I also understand what yellow journalism is. There was a time I listened to the left but now I just shake my head in disgust. They think people are stupid and easily manipulated. They're offensive to you, to all of us, and you don't know it actually.
Only unthinking people are influenced by the media. Unfortunately both sides of the political aisle are similar in this regard.
IMO conservatives today are much more influenced by media than they want to admit. You also have a lot of conservative media outlets that you, for some reason, don't view with the same suspicion.
As long as they are talking about stuff you want them to talk about, I guess it is okay with you. FWIW your conservative media also demonizes the "the left" and that is why you hate them like you do in this day and age.
Media from all sources should be thought about and questioned and you should always look at another source of media for the same story and see their spin on it and not just go along with Hannity or other conservative commentators.
Yes, and the fossil fuel industry has done a great job with its public disinformation campaign to get maybe 35% of the country to reject climate change and all of the science behind it.
I never thought the once respectable Republican Party is now anti-science, anti-university research and pro-ignorance. It's both alarming and sad.
A perfectly good example of the propaganda being spread by the left and by media that just isn't true. Are there Republicans who are anti-science, yes but its a minority. Anti-university and pro-ignorance? Its bewildering to think that you honestly believe an entire party (near half) of the country believes this.
Nazi propagandist Joe Goebbels said, “A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth.” Hearst (one of the nation’s largest diversified media), one said, "You furnish the pictures and I’ll furnish the war.” The viewers of the liberal media are lied to so much they believe what their told is the truth, they are furnishing the war.
The power of the media over how people think cannot be overestimated.
Anyone who doesn't think the media is perpetuating violence for their own ad revenue is naive.
Ingraham on Mob Toppling NC Confederate Statue: How Long Before They Show Up at Monticello, Mt Vernon? Are They Going to Start Burning Books?
This was from her appearance on that highly respected -- cough, cough, Fox & Friends.....show.
But the conservative will accuse CNN of attacking Trump for suggesting their are Trump opponents. Oh look CNN is focusing on Trump opponents again.
AND will read the Brietbart article with great interest and say -- see that's what I thought. Without any basis or logic.
Well with our history white washed what would Democrats and the media do to stir everyone into a frenzy? I say go for it, I'm tired of hearing it anyway.

Totally agree.
When people blame the media for others not thinking the same way it suggests that somehow the ones who watch CNN are inferior. Meanwhile Brietbart is the source for the person calling CNN fake news.
Reality -- read many sources, interpret......research.
And most people do.
